Characters: Belphegor and Mammon Location: CC, Mammon's apartment Rating: PG-13 to be safe? Time: [Date and Time of Day.] Description: Bel's an attention whore apparently
The meeting place had been set to be at Mammon's own apartment yet at the time, he was elsewhere not too far off from his lodgings. Just walking around and contemplating whether or not he needed an outfit change. He had been told that extra clothing would be free of charge for him so he decided for it until he'd begun talking to Bel. Now, he was on his way back to his room, not bothering to hurry. Chances were that if Bel were to show up before him, he'd keep himself occupied somehow
( ... )
To say that Bel was uncomfortable was an understatement. He wasn't used to discussing things like this or even thinking about them. He let out a huff as he kicked his shoes off to the floor and readjusted his position so he was half laying over Mammon's lap, arms wrapped around his waist so he couldn't get up.
"So. What did you want me to start with?" He wasn't going to bother with his usual mask, it would be a waste of time since Mammon always had that ability to see through them anyways.
He didn't even attempt to escape the clutches of the Prince. He was past feeling awkward and annoyed by it. Bel latching to him was now just a natural occurrence almost the same way it use to be many years prior. And also, even if he did try to break free, he'd earn some sort of hissy fit from the fallen prince. Mammon would rather avoid those sorts of annoyances.
He looked outward in front of him, eyes just staring at the wall. "Whatever you want." His hand moved towards Bel's head, fingers running through his blond hair as if he were a cat. "And if you lie, I'll start charging you."
Bel didn't mind the hand in his hair, even if it did mess up his crown a bit. He was more concerned with where he was even supposed to start in this hole thing. There was so much there and so little he wanted to actually admit. But he didn't really have too much of a choice.
"Fran. I never liked him. It's a habit now to hurt him, try and make things more difficult for him."
Mammon gave a crooked frown to Bel's first comment. If his own opinion, he found that he could tolerate Fran much more than any of the other Varia members. The illusionist had a guess as to why Bel wasn't too fond of him, though. But he wasn't going to make any assumptions just yet. "Why?"
Of course Mammon never made assumptions. It would just make things easier on Bel if for just once he'd considering doing so. He let out an annoyed huff as the answer should be obvious. But he's already decided to say what's on his mind, so he really can't back out now.
"Because he took your spot. You were supposed to be Varia's only Mist guardian. I didn't want to think you weren't coming back. Him being there was just a reminder that you were gone forever."
The illusionist smiled at this, fingers further intertwining with Bel's hair. He smiled not because he was happy but because he was amused. Who knew Bel was capable of actually feeling such an amount of sadness and/or loss. "Well, I wasn't gone forever. I'm not sure why you're still dwelling upon it." He normal expression had returned to his face. "And don't kill him, he's the only non-idiotic person I can keep a conversation with."
Bel's arms tightened just a bit around Mammon's waist, his face burying against his stomach. It was true. He wasn't gone forever. He was here after all. Bel finally had the greedy baby back. Just not a baby anymore. That adjustment alone had been a bit hard on the prince, making him answer things that he had always just let be.
"Only because Mammon says so. I still don't like the stupid Froggy, but I'll let up on him. I won't try to kill him anymore."
"Mu. Good. If he does end up dead, you're going to have to pay a fee." He bent downward as much as he could, lips pressing firmly against Bel's head. It was quite uncharacteristic of him to do so, but he felt that the moment called for it.
