She made sure to examine the entrance to the building before slowly opening the door and cautiously walking inside. She wasn't familiar with this building, but this was supposedly where most of the others who had been brought here like her were staying. She'd never really had a reason to come until now.
It was fairly easy to spot where she needed to go, given that there were five tables stacked with various sweets. A slight bit of red coming to her cheeks, she walked toward them with as much confidence as she could in these clothes with a scowl. Ran Fan merely stopped at a table next to the one where they were sitting and looked at them.

She pointed between the tables as she listed them off. "There's oatmeal raisin over there, peanut butter right there, sugar cookies are over here, gingerbread next to those, and... chocolate chip cookies are right here with us! Please, take as many as you'd like!"

She followed her pointing with her eyes, taking a few seconds to size this up. The types weren't all that important to her, honestly. Finally, she glanced back at Ahiru suspiciously. "There is nothing you ask for in return?"

And, well, with a war and such going on, Death City isn't what Ahiru would call a cheerful place, by any stretch of the imagination. She'd hoped that free cookies would help bring some smiles and a more positive air about.

Ran Fan nodded, opening the large bag she had brought and holding it in one hand. She stared at the peanut butter cookies for a bit before turning her attention to the oatmeal raisin cookies, quite obviously looking in thought. She should probably take a variety, but estimating how much of each she could fit in this bag was a bit difficult with the different types and shapes before her. She turned toward the sugar cookies. Those would be especially problematic. Maybe she should have brought two bags...
It definitely didn't look like she was going to make a grab for any of the cookies just yet.

Oh! She was carrying some kind of bag that she must have intended to put the cookies in. But... that would probably be messy and break a lot of them, woulndn't it?
Scooting back, the redhead ducked under the table and pulled out one of the many boxes she and Fakir had used to transport the cookies. Standing up, she held it up to the young woman. "Would this work better? The cookies might get crushed if you put them in a bag."
Reply
"Uhh... Y-yes."

Well, in any case, he wasn't particularly concerned about her identity, as long as she wasn't out to cause trouble. And if she was willing to take a large quantity of the cookies, all the better. The faster the sweets disappeared, the better, as far as Fakir was concerned.
"Take it," he threw out mildly, before taking a sip of his coffee.
Reply
"Yes, please do!"

She remained uncomfortably still for a moment before reaching out and taking the box, pursing her lips in embarrassment and lowering her head. After a few seconds, she replied quietly. "...Thank you."

He sipped at his coffee and shrugged. "It's nothing."
Reply
"What's your name?" She asked the girl curiously. "I'm Ahiru!"
Reply
"...Ran Fan," she finally replied with a bit of difficulty.

And while Fakir may not have noticed his lack of introduction, Ahiru did. With a slight glance at him, she gestured in his direction with one hand as she turned back to the dark-haired girl. "Oh, and this is my partner, Fakir!"

She looked back at them as Ahiru introduced Fakir, however. She opened her mouth to respond, but no noise came out. Finally, she merely nodded at him awkwardly. Perhaps she should just start collecting the sweets...
