(
here is the time for the sayable, here is its homeland. )
YOU'VE BEEN LIVING NEXT DOOR TO HIM THIS ENTIRE TIME??? SERIOUSLY?!
[The nerve of that guy! Making America look all around for a cave or hidden secret hut that Russia could have been hiding in! It just seemed like one thing after another with that jerk! From the moment BREW spat the bastard out, he'd been causing America trouble, building up his base and taking on a weapon! A Weapon like-! Oh, like that hadn't been a power play! Yeah! Right! Ha! He'd obviously picked Cuba just to piss America off! How obvious!
Not that it was working, you know! Cause it totally wasn't! Like, at all!
...Ah. There. You see? This was the reason America had chosen to wait on coming until today. It wasn't that he had no clue at all where Russia lived, you see. It was that he'd been too frazzled last night! He had to calm down. When he got angry, it clouded his judgment, and when his judgment got clouded, he did stupid things. When he did stupid things, Russia countered with stupid things. After calming himself down, America had stayed up late last night, deciding on the best approach to freeing Lithuania, altering the 'treaty' and putting Russia in his place. He had to stay calm and stick to the plan! He was supposed to have knocked! Next time he'd knock! He'd stay calm now. Deep breaths!]
[America looked around the room. At Germany, at Russia, at Cuba, at the food that Cuba was cooking.]
...A- are you guys... eating.... Is that...? Is that breakfast? Are you guys seriously just sitting around eating breakfast?!
Reply
Good morning, America. Next time, knocking would be polite, yes?
[standing up to greet you and all! BE GRATEFUL.]
-- but now that you are here, perhaps you'd like to join us for brunch? Comrade is cooking [turns to cuba] something wonderful, and of course, everybody is welcome in Russia's house. You and Cuba are on good terms, yes? I'm sure an orderly breakfast will be alright.

... Good morning.
[Germany immediately goes to... see to the poor door. If it is broken, what have you.
Yes, it's to avoid the Great Conflict With Amerika at the table, because this is Russland, Kuba and Amerika in a room.]

Probably because seeing America at Russia's house just seemed a bit ludicrous.
What was he supposed to do? Should he go back inside, or stay out here? Was Russia feeling magnanimous enough this morning to allow him to reveal himself? Would he get angry if Lithuania actually proved, rather than just implying, that he was here, and had been?
Was he supposed to hide from America?
But it wasn't as though he were invisible out here. And he'd left the door cracked open, just in case...
In the end, he wasn't ready for another rebellion so soon. He still had injuries that needed to heal, and this human body wasn't so resilient as his body at home. It would probably be better to wait until America spotted him, or Russia called him inside, or...something.]

Fucker ain't eatin' any've my stuff. He can stay and watch, but I ain't feedin' him.
[and with that he turns his back on the crowd, seeing to the boiling pot of rice and fishing the buñuelos out of their oil]

...Hm? Knocking, huh? Did you knock before entering Lithuania's place the other day? I'll have to try it next time. Sorry!
[Smiling, ignores Cuba's comment, nods once at Germany and moves to sit down at the table across from where Russia had been sitting]
And I'd love to join you guys, Russia. Thanks.

[moves to cuba 8( hand on shoulder! maybe speaking in an undertone.]
Comrade, he is a guest, regardless. Perhaps for my sake, you can lay down your troubles with each other? We are, after all [smile] trying to establish something here. Had I known he were coming, I would've asked you in advance.
[turns to america. surprised look goes here.]
Is that what had happened? Poor Lithuania! Madness is such a dangerous thing, isn't it, especially when it's so contagious in a city like this. I'll be keeping an eye on his safety, America, there's no need. [leeers cheerful smiling.] As you will be, I'm sure.
[ponderous tone.]
Ah, now that you've mentioned it, I should call him. He's been admiring my sunflowers for a while.
[moves to outside, where lithuania is tending to the flowers. smiling and speaking so cooly, might as well be siberia-tan right now.]
Lithuania, it is time.

Awkward. Tension so thick even Germany can feel it. Terrible.
Might as well try to diffuse it, in his awkward German way.]
Amerika. You are well? [UNSURE about Amerika eating Kuba's food. What if Kuba poisons him or something.]

What sort of game was Russia playing? Just last night he had wanted him to hide the fact that he was here, and now he was openly telling America. Not even just that, but nearly parading him in front of the other. Was it just a good mood? Confidence? Was there a plan?
Did Russia believe he would just go along with anything he said, when America was here, as opposed to him living in Russia's house as he had been at home, and looking to be much more willing to do something about it here? It was a chance to escape, and much more quickly than he would ever have thought possible. Maybe he couldn't go against Russia completely with him hovering so closely, but there would be a chance.
For now, he had an invitation back into the house, even if it was as an order. He couldn't let any part of this chance slip by him.
Stutters nervously, his heart pounding at the thought of a rebellion in Russia's own house.] O-of course.
[Favoring his injured leg unconsciously as he moves to follow Russia inside]

Buñuelos, ropa vieja, and empanadas. It's still hot, try not to choke on anythin'.
[the pointed look said there was obviously one person to whom this warning didn't apply]

Hm? [tension? what tension? Actually, the truth of the matter is that America hopes this whole experience is painfully tense and awkward for Germany. Maybe you'll learn a lesson from all of this, hm? Hmmm?]
Oh, yeah. I'm doin' great. It's a wonderful day, isn't it? You all seem to be enjoying yourselves.
And who could blame you, right? I mean, it's not like you have any reason to-- Oh! Hey, thanks, Cuba. Buddy. I don't know what any of that stuff is, but I bet it's great! [too bad he doesn't have any intention of actually eating it]

It is kind of you to invite us for brunch. [He finally manages to say, because Amerika IS making him feel very uncomfortable.]

everyone else could glare and kick each other under the table all they wanted - he'd worked hard on the food, and he was going to enjoy it]

Yeah. Super kind of you. [okay, okay. Fine. He'd try out the empanada, because he was kind of hungry, and you couldn't rush these sorts of "negotiation" type things. He had time, so why not eat? ...Hey, not bad.]
It's great to have a good, old fashioned, quality time brunch together with pals before Lithuania and I take our leave.
