Winry checked her watch. It was about thirty minutes before lunchtime---before noon. She should have probably come earlier, but she figured they could push lunch back an hour or two for practicing. To be honest, a part of her was also nervous. There was just a feeling in the air of something very important happening. Of course, she supposed something important was happening. She and Miranda were going to practice resonation, in hopes that they could become partners. That was a very important milestone, as far as Winry was concerned. It mean that she was one step closer to finally following up on all she had said about becoming stronger, about wanting to be by Ed and Al's sides

Miranda took a moment to hyperventilate - her apartment wasn't clean yet! Oh God, what would Winry think! - before attempting to calm down and answer the door.

She sent a nervous smile to Winry as she opened the door. "Winry! Hello I...um...I'm so sorry about the mess, I had a pipe burst open the other day and there was water everything and I've been trying to clean it, but I'm so sorry I tried to get it all done, I really did but it's not quiet..."

And indeed, there were still patches of damp, and the odd object lying on the floor where it shouldn't be. It wasn't, however, the extreme embarrassment that Miranda had made it in her mind.

Winry wasn't in the slightest bit surprised to see that Miranda was nervous, and funnily enough it made her calmer. She stepped into the room, giving her a big smile and looked around. It was a little messier than the last time she had been here, which was ages ago, but in all honesty she wouldn't have thought too much of it if Miranda hadn't pointed it out.

"Haha, it's okay Miranda. I should show you my room sometime. It'd make you feel allll better." She didn't have any burst pipes but she made up for it in being well. A bit of a slob, really. Papers, tools, sometimes even clothing everywhere.

She waved off the apologies and turned on her heel to face her.

"So how you feeling? Ready? Prepared? Nervous? I am, a little."

"Um, well...yes," Miranda admitted. "I...I promise, I'll try to work hard and not screw up!"

She wanted this to work so much...she wanted to be useful, and she knew that with Winry as her Meister, she could be. She just had to hope that she didn't disappoint her...
