Description: Anyone up for a friendly game of dice? Faye could use some extra cash.
Faye needed money. It was as simple as that.
Okay, so maybe she didn’t need money. All the basic necessities were met free of charge. Compared to her feast or famine existence on the Bebop, she supposed, somewhat grudgingly, that was actually a pretty good deal. But only pretty good. Basic necessities, by definition, left much to be desired. For those outrageously cute shoes in the mall, she needed Death Dollars. It was the same for a night on the town if she went alone. More than that, however, she didn’t trust the idea of someone else always taking care of her. What she really wanted was some independence.
At this point, most people would consider finding a job. Not Faye. She was used to being self-employed and having her own hours. Unfortunately, it didn’t look like there was much of a market for bounty hunting. There were missions, yes. That was close enough, but it also required her to find a partner. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for that.
Faye decided to fall back on her old stand-by: Gambling.
The City Park was nice enough; the trees did a good job at breaking the oppressive heat. Surely other people would discover that as well. Taking a seat at a picnic table, Faye set out an opaque cup swiped from her cupboards and a pair of dice. Sitting loosely above her boot was an anklet, a “good luck” charm. She was set. All Faye needed now was for someone to stop by.
[OOC: This is a simple game of chance. After a bet is made, Faye will toss the two die into the cup, shake it, and set it upside down on the table. The player will then guess if the total number is odd or even. But be warned! Faye can nudge her anklet so that the dice will roll snake eyes for an even number. Will your character lose their shirt, or will they figure out her trick? I have a permissions post here so we can discuss~ ]
