Description: Tired of waiting for her to stop avoiding them, Hope stayed up to wait for Lightning, hoping to catch her when she stopped back home.
[The others had said to just give her some space for a while, but Hope could no longer be satisfied with just waiting. It wasn't as if Lightning was mad for no reason -- and god knows he felt guilty about it, no matter what Fang or Vanille or Lightning herself said -- so how could he be content just sitting around waiting for her to get over it?
Actually doing something about it was easier said than done, though. Because the fact was, she apparently didn't want to see them, and Lightning was good at avoiding confrontation. It seemed like she had only come home each night long after he was asleep, and then she was gone again before he even woke up. So Hope had decided to simply wait up for her.
The first hour had been sheer anxiety -- worrying over what to say and how angry she was going to be at him -- but even he couldn't keep that up forever, and by the second hour he was just sitting on her bed, playing with the communicator and bored out of his mind. Tired, too. He knew she was much more capable than he was at going without sleep, for really, how late did he have to stay up?
Later than he could manage, it seemed, because by the time 2 AM rolled around, he was slumped over on the side of her mattress, fast asleep.]
