Kida pressed the ice over his eye and leaned against the wall in the hallway outside his room. He honestly didn't mind that Shizuo had destroyed Mikado's apartment. As much as he could use his privacy in a place like this, Mikado's insistence on not sitting the war out had made Kida glad he could at least check on him regularly.
The inconvenience was he couldn't exactly hide the shiner he had now.
Fortunately, he guessed something like the truth would be good enough. He sighed, trying to calm the nerves Minatsuki and her possibly non-existent MPD had left frayed, and put on a wry smile and opened the door to his apartment.
