Fast Friends
Characters: Kanji Tatsumi, Raidou Kuzunoha, and Naoto Shirogane.

Description: Kanji finally moves in with Naoto and Raidou; they have dinner together to celebrate the occasion.
Naoto stood outside the apartment, leaning beside the door.
She was expecting Kanji any moment now, uncertain about his precise arrival time, but sure that it would be sometime within the next hour. The small and slender detective looked at her watch again, then rested her hand against her side in what she hoped was a non-nonchalant gesture. Hopefully her friend would be able to help her out with the meal as he had offered - she had already begun to have difficulties before she escaped to the hallway to cool her frustration.
Though cooking seemed to be a science, with all its precise measurements and instructions, Naoto found it to be as incomprehensible as painting or sewing. How could some be so skilled at it, and others, such as her, to find it so unnatural and awkward? The youth sighed, trying not to think too much about what had already gone wrong. No doubt Kanji would be able to set it to rights before her partner arrived home from the office.
