A long, silent debate as Hong Kong (who had arrived earlier) tried to decide whether to wait for his elder brother or to go ahead alone and ask Japan if he had Taiwan hidden somewhere in his apartment. The latter was riskier, but he had a higher chance of getting invited into the other nation's home. If he and China were both at the door when he knocked... it might look as though they were staging some kind of intervention.
Putting his thoughts aside, he pursed his lips and knocked, hoping that he looked casual enough that it might excuse his turning up without earlier notice.]
