Description: Germany picks Italy up.
The mission had gone well enough, and Germany had been prepared for a peaceful day back in the city before going back to his duties. What Germany hadn't anticipated was that an attack would be done to the city at the same time as they were absent, and that one of his citizens would be killed for it. Germany had often dismissed this war as small-scale before, but he was only now seeing the scale at which Shibusen and the witches operated. The Norad base had been filled with soldiers, and it had not gone unnoticed that even the kishin eggs they had fought wore a parody of the American uniform.
But all this was for analysis on another day. For now, he was faced with the bigger, Berlin-sized problem of being alone with Romano for a length of time. He would rather not -- Rom hated him a passion and was very vocal about it, and Germany did not know how to deal with his spastic nature and complete dislike. He would like for them to get along, but his attempts in the past had only made it worse. Germany felt like a tourist bumbling about whenever Rom was around, for all the smaller man's useless nitpicking that sometimes did hit the mark.
But he would do this for Italien. It was a small thing if it meant making his meister happy to have Rom about their apartment, cooking him the Italian lunch that Germany could never get the hang of. So there Germany was, waiting at the foot of the Communal as he sent Rom a message that he was there.
(The Communal looked worse for wear. Pity, that, it would set back plenty of their plans for renovation....)
