Even if they weren't home, and even better that they weren't frozen in time, Vanille was very, very glad to be here. Of course, she still worried about her mark in the back of her mind; still wondered about what the end was and if she would get a chance to do all of that (and even went into a how could she if she was here but if she had already done it, and that just made her get a headache, so she didn't think about that too much), but, she was happy to be here. To be with her friends; to be with Fang. There wasn't that much worry about things, really. Without knowing if she was a Weapon or a Meister, it was like living as if everything was normal.

And meeting new people and new food! New food came right after Fang, because how could she not be excited about trying new things? Just by looking at her, you would think she didn't eat a lot, but that was far from the truth. And it did smell really good out here.

"I think you're supposed to apologize when you actually see him, yeah?" She grinned back, leaning against Fang and peering around her arm to look at the door. "Mmm, it smells good!"

When he heard the knock and the voices outside, he nearly dropped the sieve of drained pasta he was holding. Scrambling to regain his balance, Romano dumped the pasta into a frying pan of sauce before hurrying to the door.

Romano tried opening the door once, then realized it was locked, had to unlock it, then opened the door. (Damn nerves.)

"Hey," he said, almost breathlessly due to all of his scurrying, though he still managed to flash a grin in the process. However, as he actually processed who his guests were, he found that he may have had another reason to be breathless. One, Fang was a lot prettier in person. And two, this Vanille girl happened to be... well, really pretty too.

"U-Uh, come in!", Romano managed, after realizing that he had been just standing there a bit awkwardly. He left the door open and made his way back to the stove, picking up the frying pan and stirring its contents.

"Go ahead and sit down, I'm almost done." He motioned to the counter, where very basic plates, napkins, and silverware were set up. With a somewhat sheepish expression, he added, "Sorry I couldn't get anything nicer, just got here a few days ago and all."

"Not picky at all!" Vanille said with a grin, walking into the apartment right after her friend. While Fang was all cool and confidant, Vanille was more happy, possessing an inner beat to her steps.

"Hi, nice to meetcha!" She said, taking a seat as well. "It smells really good! You must be a great cook!"

She beamed at him. He was nice.

Romano was still getting adjusted to the idea of, not just one, but two gorgeous women visiting him. Had the God Almighty finally cut him a fuckin' break?!

"Penne all'arrabbiata, my dear bellisima!", he replied to Fang, allowing a bit more of his Italian confidence to show through his voice. (After all, he was sort of a bit of an awkward mess while greeting them.) "One of the best damn dishes from my home."

After test-tasting the pasta for the right taste and texture, he spun around and started distributing the food into the two plates.

Turning his grin to Vanille, he added, "Good to meet you too, signorina! You're Vanille, then?"

"Yup! I'm Vanille," She said cheerfully, looking down at her plate. It looked good, and it smelled good, and it wasn't like either of them ever really stood on many ceremonies; especially when it came to food.

So she began to eat as well, and she had to pause for a moment.

"Oh wow," She said, eating some more. "What's this called again? Pen all barata? It's really good! What does it mean? Is there more?" Like Fang, she was getting through her plate rather quickly as well.

Romano's expression was more than a little shocked at his initial glance at how the two girls ate his food. But after a moment, he couldn't help the beaming grin that came over his face. Messy as they were, it definitely improved his mood when two girls were enjoying his food so much.

"Don't know any Ezios, is he Italian?", he asked, curiosity present in his voice. (Finding citizens around here was becoming a thing for him, around here.) "And it's penne all'arrabbiata, but you were close."

When he processed just how fast the pasta was disappeared, he quirked an amused eyebrow. "Should I make more?", he asked, letting out a suppressed snicker.
