[Watson is, in fact, there. He limps over, his cane going thump thump thump, and opens the door in all his Victorian era clothing glory.]

[It's...homey. This isn't what Naomi expected, but she takes a look around and moves on. The quality of what they have here is most important.]

Thank you, Doctor. Could you show me what you have here? I'd like to get to know how this place runs as soon as I can.

[Business immediately? He supposed he could respect that. Watson starts for the far room on the other end of the kitchen/room/workshop. It's a very small affair, but clean and up to date with Death City's equipment, at least.]

This clinic is capable of holding some to dozen patients at the same time, if they are a little cramped, and has facilities for minor quarantine. This here, where we are now, as I am sure you have ascertained, is the operating room. Everything here are new and was donated by the local hospital. [Fairly up to date, if simple.]

[Not bad. Certainly nothing grand, but she hasn't been expecting anything on the scale of the Caduceus facilities. The quarantine area seems like a good idea, though it also brings back some more unpleasant memories.

...Hopefully these witches won't be trying anything with diseases. The last epidemic probably would have strained even Caduceus's limits.]

There's a hospital? Then does this clinic work together with them, or is it independent? What kind of patients do you take in here?

Oh, yes, I am aware. If only these medical insights were discovered far earlier... [Maybe his wife would be alive. But anyway, moving on.]

[A medical condition? But he won't pry, as long as it doesn't seem to bother her work now.] Pray tell, what has your specialty been since then? I am retired from most surgery myself, though I still find myself in such situations once in a while.

[He leads the way to a small desk and gestures for her to sit. As for Watson, he is taking the six steps to the kitchenette to get water for the tea.]

[Naomi sits, watching him get the tea.]

It hasn't been too long, but I've been working as a medical examiner since then. I study the bodies of the recently deceased, and when necessary I recommend further investigation or I conduct it myself. However, I'm expecting that the need for surgeries will outweigh the need for autopsies...so everybody should hope.

Indeed. [That, he can't disagree with.] I also went into the practice after Holmes' death. Or 'death', rather. It's quite the thankless task, especially in court!

Adachi... killed and molested some people here, before hiding underground for a while and turning into a kishin. Shibusen put up a large-scale attack to whittle him down to size, and he is now being used as the sealed soul to power the barrier protecting this city. [Odd, he knows.]

Crane was captured through the combined efforts of England, Kurapika, and Holmes. [Not to say that he wasn't involved, but his involvement was a trifle.]
