As Kida climbed up two flights of steps to Celty's floor, he debated if warning her about Izaya's presence was really necessary. He was perfectly happy never bringing the information broker up in the first place, and it wasn't like either of them knowing he was here could stop Heiwajima Shizuo from trying to kill him.
Well, maybe if Celty told Shizuo, he'd be more prepared to keep his temper. Kida wasn't going to volunteer for that job. But in the end it just seemed like something she'd want a heads up about, and Kida intended to be at least a half-way decent partner.
Minus little things like selling her presence to excitable cute girls into weird stuff, of course. He grinned and mounted the last few steps, turning into the hallway of the fifth floor. It had been a couple of days since Celty was forced to meet Haruhi, so hopefully he'd been forgiven already. If not he'd apologize appropriately.
At room M he knocked on the door and put on a cheerful voice. "Celty-san~ Are you ready for our date?"
