[And Ling knew all of this. How could he not? He knew this sort of thing was far outside Ran Fan's usual comfort zone let alone her duties. But, despite that Ling knew that this damned City worked in a particular way.

Ran Fan wanted to fight. Ling wanted her to fight, he wanted her at his side, and to do that she needed a partner. So, Ran Fan needed to put her self out more and get to know the people here at least a little. Ling didn't know who or what this guy was but he'd seen him around enough. It was a start, in any case, and Ling would be there to monitor the situation.

For the sake of who, he didn't know yet.

But he was pleasant. Smiling about as they waited for this person to come. Ling's clothes weren't too big on her, it seemed. He would have to talk to Watanuki about clothes of her own.]

[All these worries, anxieties, and ulterior motives? Minato is without. His mind is full of burgers and idle curiosities--curiosities like wanting to know what Ran Fan looks like under her mask, and who her mystery old-timer boss was. What kind of food would they eat? Would they introduce him to something different?

Eager anticipation was as natural as hunger to the him, but not anxiety. Eager anticipation is what he feels when he rounds the corner and sees two figures waiting, both mask-less, one staring intently at the ground.

That's Ran Fan, meaning...

Crossing the street to reach their sidewalk, Minato takes a hand out of his pockets and waves at his two dinner guests.]

[She could tell someone was approaching, and though she doesn't lift her head the uncomfortable frown on her face still manages to grow. Somehow she just knew this was the boy she had been speaking to coming toward them.

Ran Fan had no idea what to expect, obviously. All she really knew right now was that she wished she still had her mask on. This was incredibly awkward, and it certainly couldn't be considered appropriate for her to be seen like this...]

[Ling spotted the boy when he started crossing the street. Once he waved Ling returned the greeting with a smile and leaned off the stairs to greet him.]

Hello! You are the one we spoke to on the network, yes?

[Once he's close enough to the pair, Minato gives a casual nod in response, then bends forward in a more formal greeting.]

Minato Arisato. It's nice to meet you in person.

[Ran Fan's position almost could be taken as a bow had she not been standing that way the entire time. She's not showing any signs of moving or replying.]

[Ling returns the gesture though not quite as low.]

Ling Yao.

[Pauses and glances over at Ran Fan.]

[Minato also glances over at Ran Fan... then he takes a step forward, squats down on his heels in front of her, and looks up to try find her face.]

[Since it's not really possible for her to blush any more than she already is, Ran Fan lifts her head slightly in surprise at this, her frown growing. Luckily for Minato she can't bring herself to raise her head completely with Ling right there and nothing to cover her face, so he's probably finally getting a look.

Her lips start to quiver a bit. On top of all of this, she was starting to worry that Master Ling would get mad at her if she didn't respond any time soon. After an uncomfortable silence she finally spits something out.]

...R-Ran Fan.
