Sasuke wasn't entirely sure what had possessed him to have tea with this guy. He was no social person, far preferring his solitude to any human company in most cases. People generally meant conversation and things he wasn't interested in. He certainly didn't feel he craved the companionship of others. Not after his break with Naruto, anyway. It meant bonds and distractions and wasting time that he couldn't afford, not when he had to get stronger to beat Itachi.

But this place was so foreign and confusing, and languages that felt strange on his tongue- that maybe having tea was the most normal offer he'd heard since arriving here. Whatever the reason, he found himself outside the man's apartment, hands in his pockets and staring at the number. He hesitated, and considered turning around and leaving.

Setting the last cup down on the serving tray, it wasn't the sound of Sasuke's approach that drew the kirin's attention, but the subtle shift of the scent on the air. He couldn't place the scent to any particular name just yet, but when it seemed to linger just outside of his apartment, Sohki wondered if his guest had arrived. The thought that he was hesitant enough to not even knock amused the kirin immensely, and he left the kettle to continue boiling to go and open the door.

He opened his dulled gaze at the same time as the door swung open. Peering down at soon-to-be tea companion, the kirin smiled cheerfully as he questioned, "You must be Uchiha-kun, hmm~?"

The hand he'd lifted to knock lowered as the door swung up, eyes lifting to find the face of this man. Immediately, he noticed the man's eyes. At first, he thought it might be the Byakugan, but after a moment of looking, he realized differently: this man was blind. Or if not completely blind, than mostly so.

"Hn," A sound of agreement.

The answer he got in reply didn't surprise the kirin in the slightest. He could tell from their short conversation before that this one wasn't exactly the talkative type, but there seemed something else within them. It wouldn't have been difficult to pin down had his abilities remained, but as it was, he'd simply have to do it the human way.

Stepping to the side, Sohki's eyes slipped closed once again as he gestured for Sasuke to enter. "I do hope you don't mind that there are no desserts prepared," The kirin said in an attempt to test the waters, "The tea is almost ready."
