It's just as well, Watanuki was trying to rationalise, that there's still things I need before classes start. In all honesty, he was more than prepared, but why break the habit of a lifetime? He needed some vaguely reasonable reason to want to go to the mall anyway so Doumeki wouldn't think he could get his own way whenever and for whatever.
Which was rather ignoring the fact that Watanuki had been all but browbeaten into buying a stove, of all things.
Feeling as though he was wandering completely aimlessly around Holocaust Mall, it occurred to Watanuki that perhaps he should have specified somewhere for the two of them to meet up, but as far as he was concerned, Doumeki stuck out like a sore thumb. It would take no time at all to actually find him, right?
