Let your memories grow stronger and stronger, until they're before your eyes... )
There was a steady breath falling from his lips as Yuuri came running around another corner. The instant that he saw Raenef sitting just a little further down, was the same moment that the young Maou pulled his mind from his thoughts. Fear raced through his chest at the sight, and Yuuri had to push the sight of the dropped groceries all around his friend.
He had to make certain that Raenef was alright!
"Raenef!" Yuuri called out as he ran towards his friend.

"....I thought I told you not to bother." he exclaimed. Really. What a fool. Raenef had told the kid to stay away, yet he hadn't listened. If he got hurt and pissed the Demon Lord off, so be it. It was of no consequence to him, after all, and he had warned Yuuri.
"I'm your friend...", the line ran unbidden through his head before he shook it away, giving a small sigh and running a hand through his hair.
"What do you want?"

Dropping down into a crouch, there was nothing but concern over his friend's health while he regarded Raenef, "I want to see if you're alright. Maybe I should take you to the clinic to get you checked out?"
Reply
"I don't need the clinic. I am perfectly fine. I told you already. There was no point. Unless of course you could help get Eclipse back, that is." he trailed off, the last slightly softer, less harsh then his initial nonchalance and indifference to the other's concern for him. He felt perfectly fine, physically. Right? Right. Ignoring the warring feelings and emotions, conflicting thoughts.

"But you're not acting like yourself!" Yuuri said as he stumbled back a step while standing. Righting his balance, the young Maou took a step forward as if to further dive home his point, "Besides that, you were attacked so you should go and make sure that you're alright!"
He remembered well what happened to Sara the day before, and the last thing he wanted was for something similar to happen to Raenef. Reaching out, the young Maou began to offer his help as he said, "Here, let's get going."

"And I am fine. I do not need your assistance or that of the clinic, boy." he declined the request, ignoring any injuries he might have sustained from his encounter with Crane only moments earlier, ignoring the outsretched hand offered to him, but unable to quite tear his gaze from it completely. It bought back memories. Eclipse. The hand of friendship....
"I....Eclipse. I have to find him. My Demon. That is more important." He had to. If Eclipse had abandoned him for this long.....He quashed the thought as quickly as it came, unbearable.

"Boy? You haven't forgotten my name, have you, Raenef?" He didn't drop his hand at first after it was declined, but instead he couldn't help but still feel worried. A quick glance over what he could see of his friend showed a few grazes and bruises, and it only seemed to cause his chest to clench painfully. What he wouldn't give for even just a hint of his majutsu right now.
Shaking his head, the young Maou peered back at Raenef as he smiled honestly, "Then let's go look for Eclipse together."

"Maybe," Yuuri softly said while watching Raenef carefully. He wasn't quite sure how to help with this kind of thing, but he'd have to try his hardest to help his friend through it all. Showing the gesture of moving, Yuuri's attention remained fixated on his friend as he smiled in understanding, "I know what it's like to not have your precious person close to you."

He didn't notice the attention he was receiving from his friend as Yuuri continued to march down the street happily chatting away. "Aaa what I mean is that I remember when Conrad was gone for a few months and how hard it was to be without him," He said with a comforting smile, "I only managed to get through all of that because I had my other friends there to help me through it."
Reply
"....I see." But, did he really? He wasn't entirely sure.
