Tony was heading back--heading out?--to/from his room when his steps halted and he backtracked a few paces. He eyed the sign, flicked his gaze to the girl sitting in the nearby chair, and flicked them back to the sign again. They flicked back to the girl.

Stark didn't find her inequivalently gorgeous but she was pretty and that was enough for someone like him to at least send out a feeler. (He'd have to figure out her age first though.) Plus, there was ice cream to make everything worth the while. He just had to figure out if it was free or not...

Going from billionaire to flat-broke in two point three seconds and some change made a big difference in a man's life. He'd have to figure out just how much he was capable of dipping into the generous coffer of their hosts. But later. He turned his full attention to the girl and smiled one of his flashy grins that won him more than one date back home.

Adah wasn't interested in men the same way Rachel was. But she noticed when Tony walked into the room, pegging him as a different sort of person from the last few that had come in. She couldn't place it at the moment, but she knew that something had to be different. Live evil.

She looked up from her book, placing it on the table beside her. The grin did nothing to persuade her to move, but she was curious as to why he was giving it to her. Was he mistaking her for someone else?

Perhaps he was simply thanking her for the ice cream. She scribbed a note. Do you want ice cream?

He blinked once at the note and then nodded with a little wry smile touching his lips in slight amusement. Tony would have flat-out asked why she was reverting to the pencil-and-paper method of communication but another glance at her--really looking at her--told him to keep his mouth shut. Something about the way she looked at him told him that he wasn't really getting a good vibe back despite all his grinning. Not hostile, but like he was just something incomprehensible and alien. It took him off-guard.

Mentally shrugging this off, he just glanced around for the ice cream and wondered if it was a self-serve sort of thing going on here. "If it's all right..." he said with another forced smile.

It's fine. You can help yourself, if you want. Adah pulled herself up from the chair, still watching him curiously. She'd never had a man come this close to even having a reasonable conversation before. It was curious, certainly, his behavior.

She came closer to him, getting some of the sea salt ice cream for herself. She was interested in him, partially for scientific purposes. Adah wondered if she could make a study of any human males that weren't her father, now that he was no longer around.

Tony wouldn't make a very good scientific experiment, really. He'd be entirely too annoying and would try to run operations his own way to boot.

Stark nodded and smiled slightly at the reply. That was cool. That was really cool. This seemed pretty cool, but he was still getting an awkward vibe from her. Now matter, he was good at acting perfectly at ease no matter the situation. It came from being on the camera practically 24/7 from childhood.

He got some ice cream for himself, taking his time, trying to figure out the flavor before he'd taken any into his mouth. His guess was completely wrong--he'd never tasted this flavor before. Kinda...interesting.

Oddly, it reminded him of his home on the Malibu coast line, of the ocean right there at his doorstep.

"What flavor is this?" he asked rather suddenly, looking up from his ice cream at her curiously.

Sea Salt. Someone requested it. She put a bit in her mouth and smiled. It reminded her of the visits to the ocean when she was younger, before they had moved to the Congo. The one or two that had actually come to fruition, at least.

Do you like it? Adah thought that perhaps she should take a poll. If people were interested, she could make more, and study more individuals.

"Sea salt? Huh. That's a new one," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders as he gave it another taste. Definitely interesting. He had the feeling it was going to make him thirsty real quick here in a second.

Tony seemed to ponder over his answer before giving it a reply. Then he slowly nodded and smiled once more. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I do."

Adah took another bite, thinking briefly. That made three people who liked the sea salt flavor. So far, no one had tried the strawberry- she might have to sit that outside, as an offering to the sun.

I thought it was an interesting flavor. I've never tasted it before. I guess this really is a new world."

"So you bought this or...?" There was a lot of ice cream here. Had she really bought this much just to hand out for free? That seemed a little odd. But so did making this much to just hand out for free. Why not sell it? There was certainly more than one interested party to take up the offer. "You found it somewhere here?"

I made it. Adah realized that most people probably wouldn't be as dedicated to the task of making ice cream as she had been. In fact, it had fascinated her, and the idea meant that she got to explore not only the library, but the mall too, looking for materials and recipes.

Do you make ice cream?

He laughed. "No, I make other things," he replied with a smirk. He looked impressed that she'd made all of this ice cream herself. He licked his portion. "...You did a good job."

Thank you. Someone couldn't find sea salt, and I wanted to learn how to make ice cream. She offered this in way of explanation, looking out the window. She wondered what exactly he made, but felt it might be slightly rude to ask.

"Odd thing to want to learn how to make without precedence. So you normally just go around making odd things to please others or is it just this once?" Tony would have talked her ear off if asked anything about what he did. On a good day.

Someone asked, and I wanted to learn how to make it. This much was simply an error.

It was probably a good thing that she didn't ask, then. Her ears were already pained enough from Rachel as it was.

Tony stopped and stared down at all the excess ice cream. "...that is a big error."

But it's a delicious error. She took another bite of her ice cream, a sly smile on her lips. It was good, really.
