Description: Unable to find a home for her, Rise goes to pick Luki up to take back to DH.

Upon Rise's knock, even before she announced who she was, there was some scrambling about and Luki shouting "WAIT WAIT I'M COMING WAIT" a few seconds before the door knob turned and Luki opened it up. Her eyes and the area around them looked faintly red, like she had been crying. She wasn't wearing her bunny cap or her socks or shoes, dressed only in her long, black, fuzzy dress. There was a big smile on her face.

She promptly hugged Rise, wrapping her slim arms around Rise's legs and looking up to her.

Rise let out a surprised "oof" at the sudden hug and nearly stumbled but she right herself before she fell. She looked towards the younger girl, instantly noticing that redness and couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. Had she been crying? If she was, Rise couldn't blame her. To be nine, without her sister, and alone in this strange place...

"Hey Luki!" she leaned down a bit to return the hug, "How'd you like to stay with me and my partner? I'm a little worried about you living here all by yourself and it doesn't seem like anyway else is really available. What do you think?"

Luki's eyes widened and her face brightened a little at Rise's offer and her grip around Rise's legs tightened. Being by herself was totally terrible. It was a new experience and she hated it. It was too quiet and wherever she tried to sleep it felt so big and empty and not cozy.

Even if she hadn't known Rise for very long or Matt at all, she liked them both. Rise was nice and if Matt was her partner than he had to be nice, too! And he wasn't a vampire, to boot!

Rise laughed at the turn in disposition, glad to see her a little cheerier.

"Sure you can! But be nice to Matt, only a couple pranks every now and then. He's a delicate flower after all~" She didn't want to spring too much on Matt, especially since this had been her idea.

"He's real nice though! I'm sure you'll like him, and he's a great cook to boot!" she gave Luki and gentle squeeze before straightening up and offering her hand.

"But for now why don't we go out and see the city a little? Is there any place you'd like to go?"

Great cook

Luki couldn't really help but focus on that. The city? Man, who cares about the city. Great cook. She daydreamed for a moment about the food as she absent-mindedly reached out to put her hand in Rise's. Wherever they were going to go, whatever suggestions Luki was going to make, it could all wait.

Great cook.

She had to know.

"Can he make spaghetti?"

"Spaghetti? Well yea, he can make that easy. I'm sure if you asked nicely enough he would make you some."

She began to lead the way out of the communal.

"He really likes making pancakes especially, they're his favorite food." Rise let out a fond say. Usually she didn't really like sweet things, but even Matt make it good. She was more of a spicy person herself.

Still, good or not, given how much he made it she had to wonder how he didn't get tired of it.

"Will he really!?" she asked excitedly.

Luki followed after Rise happily and cheerily and merrily. She was on her way to a good home, one with a cook! She was practically exploding with happiness, but she didn't want to let go of Rise's hand to celebrate and jump around.

Pancakes sounded really good, too, she hadn't had those in the longest time! Mornings were sporadic times, and the twins weren't always up and about and ready to go out for pancakes then. They made good breakfast food and snacks, she supposed, but if he could make spaghetti, why would she eat anything else! At Rise's question, Luki looked up at her and nodded furiously.

"Of course it is! It's the bestest food ever!"
