Despite the strange events that had occured the day before, Aerith was excited for today. Not even the heaviness or anxiety that came from thinking about Zack's re-arrival-- or Tseng's for that matter, could ruin her good mood. And even though Roy had been obviously avoiding her prior suggestion of a date, Aerith knew she had to jump on this opportunity to get the workaholic away from the indoors for a while, just to make sure he was doing alright. And...she liked his company, very much, as rare as it was. Roy was rather reserved, but he listened well. And when he smiled, well, Aerith-- along with the rest of the female population-- melted a little inside. It was a shame that expression seemed to seldom happen ( ... )

"Good morning," was his simple reply, topped with the tiniest smile. The trip had been kind of cute. It had been a long time since he had seen a girl who could make a trip look cute.

Pesky thoughts, pesky thoughts. Roy glanced towards the street ahead and the city before them.

"Where do you want to go?"

Ah, that smile. Aerith's own smile quirked a little to the side in a sort of appreciative smirk before she brightened up in alertness towards his question.

"Anywhere," she replied easily, gesturing out wide behind them with her arm. "Today, you should relax, and enjoy yourself." she gently grasped his arm, and began tugging him from the Communal steps. She was looking up at him while she spoke, so if they were to stumble into a pole or a bench, that would technically be Roy's fault for not steering them elsewhere.

"That's the point of a date, you know!"

...Anywhere? Seriously? But...

"I don't really know where to go."

Clearly, because a guy like him didn't exactly take breaks. Even the 'dates' he used to go on had always been backed by some sort of real purpose.
