Reached a part of the journey where the end is finally in sight
I don't even remember anymore when I started this monster called UFF. Year 2000? 2001? 2? I can't be arsed to dig into my old files to check timestamps. All I know is when I started this thing, I didn't really envision it going getting to this extent or lasting this long. Or making me involve other FFO buddies to provide writing assistance, artwork, and even some commentaries. All I know is it's dragged on far longer than planned. And truth be told, there have been quite a few times when I almost lost interest - that's quite obvious in the last few years that saw me post a meager two chapters per year. TWO CHAPTERS PER YEAR. If anyone's seen someone lazier than me, please, point him out.
Lately, though, I've been experiencing a resurgence of interest. And what used to be a crawling 2 chapter per year clip has come back to 3 chapters in less than 2 months. Yep, believe it or not. UFF is back in the running. And hopefully, I can fulfill my resolution of finishing this before the year ends. I'm still not betting on it. But right now, at least I can say with confidence that THE END is finally within striking distance.
For one thing, those who have been following this fanfic for the most part of the first six years of its progress and have been seething with anger over the story's main bad guy would probably be glad that...
