[ Somewhere around mid-day, Kurt turns on the video feed despite the fact that he's a little disheveled from all of his intense party planning an errand running and decorating and all that stuff. His hair's messy from the wind, his scarf isn't quite straight, and his cheeks are red from just coming inside from the cold

Uhh... do you, not like pool parties? I thought you liked pools... [What with the one on that cruise and everything.]

Pools are fine, but it's way too cold out for a pool party! Anyone with half a brain would know that, and putting it indoors doesn't do a thing to make it any more acceptable socially or... or morally.

Oh, I didn't realize it was such an, unacceptable thing for humans to have pool parties when the weather is cold... uhh, I guess it is a good thing that you have informed me of this now, as I was going to ask you if you would like to go with Jade and me, but I guess instead I should not do that, and also let Jade know I will not be going either, so as to avoid offending anyone, um, socially or morally.

[ Tavros was going to ask him...? Oh, crap. Kurt winces immediately and looks away, frustrated. That's what it takes to get him out of his angry little funk. ]

I... Well, I can't go, Tavros, I'm gonna be busy. But if you want to go it's really not that bad, I guess you could. [ Jeez why does he suddenly feel like a bad friend? ]

[Wait, but Kurt wouldn't go anyway, because it is Wrong To Do So. He shakes his head, a little more resolved.]

No, I don't want to offend you, or anyone, if it isn't right to want to go, then, I won't go. I'm sure Jade will understand, if I explain it to her.

[ Deep sigh time. Kurt takes his head in his hand and rubs his forehead for a few seconds before looking up. ]

Look. I was exaggerating. I'm sure it'll be a really fun event and I'm not going to forbid you from going or anything so go if you want to go, no one else but me is likely to get offended. And I'll get over it.

[Oh. Still kind of unsure since Kurt implied he might be offended, but...]

Yeah. Go ahead. [ He's pretty resigned to letting Tavros go. And also... ] But maybe you could drop by my place after. I was planning a party for Yosuke's birthday that evening. Just... don't come wearing swim shorts? And try to take a shower after you go in the pool? I don't want my place smelling like a pool.

Though, I didn't know you were having a party too... or, is it a secret party? [Considering this is now private and all.]

Oh, and I am not sure if I will actually be partaking in pool activities, since I don't know if my new legs are, uh, completely waterproof, but if they are and I do, then I will be sure to do those things.

I will do my best to save most of my fun for your party, or maybe at least half of it, I suppose it depends on how much fun Jade wants to have. But I will be sure to save lots of fun for your party, because, I want to have fun with you too.
