[ As the night wore on, those kidnapped would find it was as the Death Scythe and Shinigami-sama said - The doors were finally opened.
The two armed Meisters who opened the doors were non-aggressive, but firm as they ushered the visitors down a large stone hallway, lined with various Shibusen students. For those who were paying attention, they might notice the two blonde sisters from the Death Room among them; they were standing at attention, there for the protection of both the newcomers and the school itself.
The journey would be a relatively short one, and they soon arrived at a large banquet hall - or at least, what had been a banquet hall. Various tables and screens had been set up, as the room had been turned into a make-shift military base of operations for the school. Seats had been been arranged in the room to face a large podium at the front of the room.
On stage, two familiar faces could be seen - Death Scythe and Shinigami-sama himself. Quiet words were exchanged between the two, and they were joined by a third, silver-haired man with what looked to be a large bolt protruding from the side of his head. After a brief, hushed conversation, the audience was forced to settle.
The two double doors, the room's only exit, were guarded by another pair of armed Meisters - though to whose benefit, who could be sure? ]

[ There is a pause, as Shinigami-sama looks to his redheaded companion. ]
As you all should know by now, I am Death Scythe. The man beside me is my partner, Doctor Franken Stein - third in command here at Shibusen.

[ There's a quite clicking as he turns the bolt in the side of his head idly, a cigarette hanging loosely from his lip. The doctor doesn't seem to be particularly concerned with the speech; instead, he's scanning the crowd with an oddly piercing stare, as though he can see something that others can't quite fathom. ]
I’m sure you all have a lot of questions, and now we would be happy to answer them. Since we’re all in the same room and paying attention, everyone will get the same straight facts with a lot less confusion.
The faster we get through this, the sooner everyone can eat and get some rest. I’d like everyone to try and not ask the same thing over and over again, it’s a waste of time and what we know isn’t going to change.
After our Q & A, you will be given the option to stay here at Shibusen or leave and take your chances outside of Death City.
Those who choose to stay will be given the appropriate identification and keys to their residence; those who don’t will be escorted to the city perimeter. Those who are staying will be given a contract to sign once they’ve reached their decision.
