[Well, wasn't he the energetic, talkative type? Nothing Paine hadn't seen before, even though this one was slightly more... green. He'd said a few things that caught her interest, and Paine remembered that name from the tour]

[Morning training seemed pretty self explanatory, and she was planning on attending, however--]

I'm a new arrival here. Can someone with no Weapon participate in the training?

Of course they can! Not only can you work on your own physical fitness, there is training for handing a Weapon when you find one, and a group that works with Meisters and Weapons to try to help you find a partner!

Are the training areas open other than in the mornings? [Paine is feeling particularly talkative today apparently]

They are open all day. But there are only teachers there in the morning, unless you find someone who has extra time to teach and they agree to meet you there. The teachers are nice so you have a good chance of finding someone who is willing; it is simply a matter of them having time, I think. [He likes when people are talkative!]

[She usually isn't, but there's too much she needs to figure out about this place]

And solo training? We're here unarmed until we find a partner, so how do people keep their skills up?

Solo training is part of the training offered in the mornings. It's divided by age and skill levels. I actually help with the adult beginners.

[right on time, every morning. Damn military training.]

Then you can go with the intermediate adults, or perhaps into sparring! But I see everyone who comes, because I like to make sure each group is doing well.

Then I'll see you around, Gai. [alas, your enthusiasm isn't contagious to this one]

You will... And I believe you have not told me your name yet. [He'll keep trying, though.]
