Just as the city exists inside the Grid, so Death City exists in the User World. It's quite the same really. Except not, in quite a fundamental way.

Hmmm... there's people who can turn into weapons! That's pretty neat. [He pauses for a moment and then continues.] And I think the sun and the moon are kinda bizarre, but neat in their own way. I just like meeting new people, though!

We don't have "sun" and "moon" in the Grid, so it's all very bizarre to someone like me. But I find new acquaintances enticing, not matter how strange.
