[When Lili appears on the screen, she's yawning. Perfectly understandable, it's currently 2:49 in the morning.]
Sorry about that. I couldn't sleep.
[The room around her is dark. The lights are all still off, and the curtains are closed so that she can ignore the stupid moon and its stupid faces. The artificial glow of her communicator lets you know that it's her, and it highlights a nasty cut below her right eye in a manner that isn't flattering in the least. It looks out of place, on a girl in a flimsy white nightgown and such a peaceful expression on her face. Lili doesn't seem concerned, and when she speaks, she speaks softly.]
It's cold, that's why. [She flings her hair around her shoulder, and starts braiding it.] Time to invest in a nicer comforter, perhaps.
Is it naive to think that the ones who are right, are the ones who will win in the end? I know that a lot of people are too jaded to believe that. [Pause. And more playing with the hair.] I've been wondering about home, lately. I'm ashamed. I've started to consider this place home, and I forgot about my real one for a while. [She finishes the braid, and quickly dismantles it.] Things will have been resolved by now. I think we won. I believe in them.
[Lili stands up, bringing the communicator with her. Her voice gets softer the closer she gets to the bed. Is that another person? A head of dark hair is there, so the answer is definitely yes. She keeps talking as she crawls into bed.]
I'll have to keep waiting for someone from the future to stop by and fill me in, like so many of you have.
