[ So now that Yuri's been here for about a week, he's looking a little more comfortable and a little less listless. Also he has a better idea of how to use the communication device.
He's looking at the camera with something edging on curiosity. ]Anyone know where I can find a guy named Shinjiro Aragaki, and someone named Aqua? Looks like we'll be

Shinjiro-senpai's in the hospital right now. I could try and get a message to him, but he's a little out of it generally. [Pain medication and such. She switches topics fairly quickly.]
Northern Lights is a pretty good place for food, but it's not one of the places Shibusen runs for free.

[ He tactfully takes the topic change in stride. ] I don't mind paying for food, [ though he'll have to start looking for a steadier job soon if he plans on keeping that up, ] so long as it's good food. What sort of stuff do they serve?

I think it is. It has a varied menu - a while back it used to have a day a week where it would specialise in food from different countries. Chinese food, French cuisine and stuff like that. A lot of people have gone home since then, so I'm not really sure if it still does that.
... A lot of the cafes are good for snacks and such as well. There's a lot of place specialising in pastries - Death By Pastry, and the Deadly Pretty Maid Cafe - and fast food joints as well.

The rattling off of food types and restaurants makes Yuri blink - a lot of the phrases she'd used went over his head, though he got the general idea. He'll just have to ask about the different countries thing later. ] Fast food? [ The pastry thing makes him perk up though - as far as Yuri's concerned, there can never be enough pastry joints. ] Is there some sort of directory of restaurants or something? I'm getting the idea that there's a hell of a lot to chose from around here.

[She tilts her head.]
Fast food is pretty much what the name suggests. It's usually already cooked, or cooked in a few minutes. Not the healthiest of foods - the most common ones usually serve burgers and fries. It's not always the best quality food, but if you're really hungry it does what it's supposed to do.

He pops back up a moment later. ] Quick and filling, huh? Sounds like I'll be getting acquainted with those places real soon. [ Or at least until he gets a source of income - the free food is nice, but Yuri isn't sure he can go for too long eating the same thing without getting sick. ]
And on that note, what's there to do for money around here? Preferably -[ and this sounds so strange coming out of his mouth - ] not fighting, since I don't have this Weapon thing figured out yet.

Umm... there's lots of different jobs available. Depends on what you want to do and what you're good at? I like socialising with people, so I work at the Maid Cafe... probably not something you'd wanna do though. [She laughs, before tilting her head.]
Oh, and you probably already know this, but if anyone tells you to throw yourself down the stairs to find out your Weapon form, ignore them.

The maid cafe comment gets a second glance, mostly curiosity. He's gonna guess it's some sort of theme cafe - Dahngrest had had a few of them, and they always seemed packed. ]
I like socializing well enough, but I can't say my service skills are all that great. [ He smirks, but decides to keep the suggestion in mind. If it'll get him a bit of spending money, he can try to tone down the grouchiness. Try. ]
Yeah, I figured that wasn't the best idea.

[She sets the dress down after a few moments of slightly evil grinning, and smiles more genuinely.]
There is a male equivalent though; Butler Cafes. But you have really like dealing with people, and they do expect your service skills to be pretty good.
I think it worked for someone once, which is how the joke got started, but it just sounds like a recipe for broken bones to me.

[ The butler one sounds.......slightly better. Ish. He's not exactly enthusiastic about wearing any sort of fancy suit, not to mention he knows damn well his service skills won't pass most people's muster. ] I'll just look around when I get some free time. There's gotta be something to do that isn't waiting tables.

[She nods though.]
There's lots of other things. Waiting tables is common because there's a lot of restaurants and eateries, but there are other things. Clinic jobs, I think... there's a pet shop, a cinema, a gym... [She lists off the different types on her fingers as she says them.]

But yeah, maybe I'll just go look at some of those other places instead. There's gotta be some place that'll hire me.

The Watch does pay, you know... if money is what you're worried about. If not then good luck! I'm sure you'll find something.

... You're not pushing yourself? If you're working the midnight-6:00am shift, and then take an ordinary job, plus training sessions in the morning, you'll be working for at least sixteen hours with no chance to sleep. [She's not... preaching; just curious.]
