[Those of you who haven't seen this man before might not even think that it's a man. The high collar of his cheongsam covers his adam's apple and his voice isn't exactly manly and deep. But that's not the point of this. D's smile is rather bright and sunny and his tone is cheerful and excited. Something good must have happened.]
Greetings, Death City, and welcome to all of the newcomers. My name is Count D. Like yourselves, I'm a guest here as well. I hope you're adjusting well! Please let me know if you have questions or need any help.
Many of you may not be aware that I work for the park as a gardener. Since the holidays are approaching, I find myself in need of some help with decorating. I'm looking for volunteers to help hang lights and other holiday decorations in the park, in preparation for something much more exciting to follow!
[But what is that "much more exciting" something? D doesn't seem like he's ready to say just yet. Instead he just explains what he's looking for.]
I need people who are capable of lifting heavy things and don't mind climbing up and down ladders. I would prefer people who already know how to use tools such as hammers and drills. Because some of the work may be a little a dangerous, I would prefer workers who are over eighteen, though I could find something for anybody to do.
I will need you tomorrow starting at eleven o'clock in the morning. I hope for us to work until five o'clock; after that it will be too dark to work without extra lights. I need to have all of this done by the first of December, so that gives us four days to work. Lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided.
[He pauses to think. Hmm, what else?]
If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible and let me know what you'll be able to help with, and when. Thank you!
[ooc: So, basically, unless you guys really want a log, I am hand-waving this sob, homework, why does it exist?! When I know how many volunteers there are, I'll edit this ooc comment to state the end-date of the decorating. An ooc post for planning that something else (and possibly for this if we need it) is going to follow when I am less scatterbrained which may not be until tomorrow after work or Wednesday after class. I also need to finish hashing out a couple of details with the mods first so I don't want to go into too much until I have all the information. So. Right. I'm done rambling at you now, poke me on Plurk, AIM, in comments, or PM if you have questions about the volunteer thing or really want a log. :)]
