[Those who remember the layout of Chane's apartment from the last time she appeared on the network may notice it has changed. Apparently she was serious about getting a job and moving into a paid apartment as soon as she could. This would be that new apartment ( Read more... )

[When Chane turns to return to the communicator on the table, the redhead ducks out of sight, dropping down off the side of the balcony and clinging to the edge with one hand.

Sitting down again, Chane sets her notebook on her lap and tilts her head inquisitively at the screen.]

Chane blinks once, before her eyes lid slightly and she dismisses the China's worry with a small shake of her head. If she were to hazard a guess as to who her visitor was... well. There is nothing to worry about.

She turns around, but sees no one on the balcony. She is not stupid though. That does not mean he has gone. Instead, she turns her attention back to the communicator and picks up her notebook.]

It is fine.

[It really was easy to find out where Chane was moving; he did know where she went everyday, anyway. And with his new trusty lock picking kit that he'd gotten when he broke into the store that sold the lock picking kits, it was easy to get in.

And he didn't even have to break any windows to do it. Sliding in, he went and took a seat in the kitchen, waiting for her to come back.]

[Chane is certainly not unaware that something is going on. She is not completely devoid of an awareness of her surroundings, after all. So when she exits the right hand bedroom she is... not exactly surprised to see Claire there. Perplexed, certainly, but he'd managed to find her in Manhattan with little trouble. Finding her far smaller city with three obvious places she could be would be simple for him.

Shutting the bedroom door behind her, she folds her arms and tilts her head at Claire; a clear question as to why he's here.]

Hi! [Claire leaned back in the chair with a grin, putting his hands behind his head.]

You moved outta there quick. I like the new place, you've got good taste.

[Chane remains still for a few seconds, before turning and walking to the sofa she had been sat on before she left the communicator. The electronic device is left on the table; her goal is notebook and pen. She stands, writing a message on the paper, before walking over to the kitchen and depositing the notebook in front of Claire.]

I made my intention to move fairly clear. It was not difficult once I found a job.

[She does not wait to see if he will read it, instead turning her attention to the cupboards and pulling out a couple of glasses.]

[Very little happens after the red head has entered her apartment. Not that this would be a comfort, as a mute woman cannot scream for help. But there are no sounds of fighting, or disruption.

After a little while, Chane reappears on the screen, taking hold of the communicator and looking through a few unread messages. Her head tilts slightly, and she types out a message carefully.]

It is nothing to worry about.

[If Shalnark was looking for a fight, or scuffle there is sadly little to see. Once the red head has entered the apartment there is no sound or sign of a fight or scuffle. In fact if one listens carefully there seems to be a fairly amiable one sided conversation going on in the background.

Chane reappears, and tilts her head at the screen.]

[Chane blinks. She had not expected a response regarding her offer of a partnership practice so soon really. However it was silly of her to dismiss something she had asked for. Her eyes lower as she considers the offer.]

I may not be the easiest to resonate with, as I said. I do not trust easily and, as you've mentioned, we have never met.

[There is a pause.]

You have experience with knives then?
