You could always join the Watch. We're in charge of patrolling the streets and helping to keep the city safe. Watch members are licensed to carry weapons as well.

[She's in a similar boat, except she does have people waiting for her...that is, if she ever manages to get back to them, which seems unlikely to happen...

And then there's a flicker of something in her expression, there and gone so fast that the less confident might doubt if they'd seen it at all.]

It takes some getting used to...not being able to fight the way we're used to.
