What happened here? Was there another attack?
[The camera turns on and it appears to be wavering as the older woman with short, red hair stares worriedly down at the screen. She looks very familiar to most of you and you might be able to recognize her. ]
Alfred? Lain? Are you both still here? Miles? Vergil? Anyone?
[She bites her lip.]
I hope I'm

Still here. [He looks curious, but first things first.] You were fortunate enough to miss another Madness Wavelength incident, though not nearly as bad as the last. [Not that there was a shortage of berserkers this time either.] There were a few Witches too, and they managed to take Adachi.
[He tilts his head.] How long have you been gone, from your perspective? [He's glad she remembers him.]

Another one? How is the damage? Was anyone...dead..?
[She looks away.]
A year has gone by where I am.

There haven't been any reported Guest deaths. I believe there were quite a few injuries, though. A number of people were... [How to explain this?] ...infected by one of the Witches with magic. It induced a berserk state. It's been removed now, though.
[He blinks. A year? About as long as Date had disappeared, and all of his memories had taken time to return in full.] I see. Sounds like a lot of catching up to do.

They went into a berserk state..? I don't think I've yet to see this when I was here before...But thats good that is has been removed.
[Yoko simply nods.]
Yeah, a lot seemed to have happened while I was gone. I'll have to get right back onto my research then, especially with trying to find out more about this berserk state. Do you know who was all infected by that?

Though people tend to become violent as is when madness is involved. [Not him, this time.] I don't have any names, unfortunately.
[Glancing aside momentarily.] Well, I actually meant with you, too. A lot can happen in a year. [He's only been here two and a half months, and it's been life-changing.]

Yea. I know that name.
It's fine, thanks for your help though.
[She now looks surprised at his last comment.] M-Me? Ah...yeah. I went back to teaching again..Thats mostly it.

[Vergil gives a curious look.] At least you had plenty of time to relax, I suppose. It's more than most of us can ask for these days. [Almost seems like every small chance is rewarded with greater tragedy.]

I'll send you my notes on her as well as the books I read.
...I suppose. But I didn't really relax-[Yoko glances down.] I worried every waking moment about how everyone here was doing..
I..I thought maybe I would be too late..

[But then he blinks, before looking thoughtful for a long moment. Then finally:] I'm sorry to hear it. But... you know better than most how long the war's been going on and exactly how intense it's been. Despite the fact there have been literally hundreds of us Guests, coming and going constantly, barely any have become casualties.
We've blatantly survived in spite of impossible odds. [He was unfortunate in having personally lost someone to the war, but fortunate for everyone else in being one of very few.] I think you could've - can - afford to worry a little less.

...True. But a life is a life in my opinion so losing anyone is..terrible.
Though I think for most of us, we are all fighters naturally from our world and look out for those who aren't as strong.
[She smiles a bit though and taps the screen.]
I suppose. I think I will now that I'm actually here and I can see you all.

Just means I'm at home most of the time. [And there's only so much housework.] I can spare a few minutes to come get it myself, though. I wouldn't want to inconvenience you.
[He nods, and gives a mild look intended to be reassuring.] Well, at the very least, I can admit that we're lucky to have you back. [Yoko is one of the most experienced Meisters, after all. In turn, he can feel a little reassured knowing she's looking out for people and is never too far away.]
