[You can hear D moving around, but that's all. If you listen closely to the background noise, you might be able to surmise that he's outside (he's actually on the balcony). His tone sounds rather cheery, as usual.]
The weather is quite nice today, isn't it? The day just started and I'm already enjoying it. It's been a few years since I've been in a place with such agreeable weather this late in the year.
[D pauses. It seems he's reminded of something.]
Halloween is right around the corner. What are everyone's plans? Hmm... How many of you celebrate this holiday? [D pauses, and when he speaks again, he sounds rather nostalgic.] Where I last lived, Halloween wasn't really celebrated (not in October, at least), but when I lived in America last, children wearing costumes of all kinds used to go trick-or-treating: that is, they went from house to house to get candy from the people living there. It started as a holiday to honor the day.
What are your traditions? I would be most interested to hear about your cultures and worlds.
