The mission was splendid! We can take on more now that we know the basics and we will soon all be home I am sure!

Hopefully. [not that she really wants to go home, but hey, why rain on a parade?]
Of course, we'd need to defeat the witches first, but I'm sure we can do it.

[He nods, cheerful.] I did! It reminded me much of home in some areas, though not at all in others.

[she looks pleased] I'm glad. I liked being able to show you guys some of what it had to offer. [She'd spent the majority of the time after defeating the kishin egg dragging them around to the night markets and trying to trick Sasuke into eating a fried cricket on a stick]

[He beams.] And I am thankful for that! It was very interesting. I have never played 'tourist' with Kakashi before, let alone Sasuke.

[She chuckles] It was nice. I'm glad Sasuke enjoyed it--even if I doubt he'll admit it. [It'd been cute, pulling an arm around Sasuke's shoulders to drag him off somewhere, or guide him to look at something interesting. She has no doubt Sasuke had fun, even though he won't say so outloud.
and it'd given Gai and Kakashi a good look at the bond they'd formed already, but that was just a bonus]

[Gai shrugs with a knowing look in his eyes.] It is much like Neji would not admit it. And likely Kakashi. Some people do not like to say when they are happy or having fun. I don't think I will ever understand it, but it is their way.

Mm. I don't get it either, but... to each their own.

Yes. Though sometimes it is worth pushing them to be more social and happy. They will be more fulfilled that way, and not feel alone or isolated, as can happen.
