I have been observing morning training for several days now, and I have been wondering -- What is the nature of a partnership here in Death City? Do you Meisters see your Weapons as tools? Friends? Subordinates? Do you Weapons feel compelled to obey the whims of your Meisters absolutely?
You see, people in my world had their own Weapons -- my friends. They are gathered up en masse by humans, imprisoned, forced to fight, perform, serve their masters without question. It was a cruel way of life for them.
Or so I thought.
I have since learned that many of my friends treasure their relationships with their humans. To find joy not only through service, but through partnership and coexistence. I could not understand it at first, but perhaps I will learn soon enough. Perhaps I will soon be able to empathize with my friends' feelings.
