So, you know, I've been thinking!

I've been trying to go to those classes everyone keeps talking about, y'know, at Shibusen. I really want to learn how to be a Ace Meister and all that, I really do!

But how can you expect me to listen when the classes are sooo boooring? [A very over-dramatic sigh.] A chipper young woman like me just can't sit still ( Read more... )

I'm not sure how well strobe lights would work in a classroom.

...well, you never know until you try, right?

Don't you think it would be distracting?

[As he is wont to do, Justin Law's video is active while he types. His earphones are quite easily visible, and the sound of Techno pumping from them at maximum volume is quite blatantly audible. He stares vacantly while typing.]

I am always surrounded by background music.

[...she decides to not bother with a video feed in return. He probably wouldn't be able to hear her.]

Um, maybe not that loud, though...

It is little use if others cannot hear it as well.

[His expression alters to that of what one could tentatively call the 'look' a person may have while experiencing a spontaneous life-altering epiphany.]

This notion of strobe lights and confetti intrigues me.

But why don't you just use a speaker if you want everyone to hear it?

Confetti makes everything better! I'm going to make some and bring it next class.

If you wish to learn, you should be able to pay attention, regardless of how your instructors present the material. The failing is yours, not theirs.

I can't help it if I'm easily distracted! It's in my blood!

...I guess they're better than the private tutors I had in Kurain, but...gee, was Nick right when he told me about how boring school was.

Perhaps you need to practice your self-discipline outside of class, then. It would be better than suggesting changes could be disruptive to the other students.

I tried doing that, but it's just the same as class. I got bored!

I mean, it's not like we'd do it every single class. It could be, like, a summary session at the end of the week or something. Everything they taught that week -- in party form!

[ He's trying to keep from laughing. And mostly failing. ] That sounds amazing. Minus maybe the strobe lights, we wouldn't want to cause any epileptic seizures. I'd definitely be behind background music, confetti, and shows, though. Maybe make them into battle musicals?

[:D! Hello again, she recognizes you! Maya grins, glad that SOMEONE here seems to appreciate her genius.] I know, right? Wouldn't it be awesome?

[Her eyes light up at the mention of 'battles' and 'musicals' in the same sentence.] Ooh, it could be a running series! With new shows every week, and holidays specials and promotional figurines and everything! Heck, they could even charge a bit for admittance, and then they'd be able to make some money, too! It's win-win, isn't it?

[ Yes, it's been a while, Maya! She and Kurt can go crazy together over this. ]

There could be a Halloween costume collection based on the title characters in the battle musical. And recorded soundtracks. [ a beat and a grin ] You and I could be the stars!

[Or lord I SENSE IMMINENT BONDING. She seems to be growing more excited with every suggestion.]

Don't forget collectible figurines! And comic books, and a film adaption! Maybe even a cartoon, or...or a panel at a convention, or something!

[Being co-star? Well, that would be all well and good, but...] Um...I've never really acted before, though.

There's not much difference between Shibusen's classes here and lessons at a normal school. Not in my experience, at least.

But surely you're old enough to have at least a bit of education. Did you have a home tutor?
