[There's of course obviously a reason as to why Phoenix isn't using video - he knows well enough that he looks terrible beyond belief, and besides speaking is all that is needed for this anyway. He sounds pretty bad even from his voice alone, and its obvious that he's taking a great deal of effort to even get himself to speak.]...somehow it feels

We were taken to Michigan, as you might have figured. In the beginning we were all together in one cell, our abilities stripped by their magic. All of us were barely kept alive in there so that we could be their subjects for their--[the first falter now - everytime he recalls it, it only starts to bring in his trauma...] --experiments, I assume.
[A brief pause in order to calm himself, and then he goes on.] I'm not that all sure what exactly the nature of said experiments were, but... most of us were changed in some form or another because of it. [Pause again, and then a weak laugh.] Not exactly something anyone of us would be willing to go through again.
