[One second into the feed, its easy enough to guess just how exactly the communicator was turned on - immediately after it opens all one will hear is the constant clanking sound of what seems to be be metal against wood. It continues in a rhythmic pattern for a few more moments before it speeds up for a bit and after another few more bangs there's ( Read more... )

Date-san...hitting your helmet on the table will not make the sand fall out it.

[Something close to a grumble.] It was worth a shot.

A shot in the dark gets the ninja sometimes, but this sand is a far more cunning opponent. Is the sand wet?

No, its dry.

You'll have to use something more forceful then. [He starts thinking.]

Do you have a fan?

Yes. [Pause.] Dante's using it now.

Ah, I don't think he's using the right kind of fan. [He pauses for a while to draw, and then he holds up a ridiculous-looking sketch of the kind of fan used to dry floors. A hand-written note on the sketch reads as such: Reversing the blades should make it function in reverse, which will then suck out the sand.]

Do you have a fan that looks like this?

[A long moment as Date stares at the drawing...]

No, I don't think so. [He can't make sense of your drawing, Katsura. :c]

[Well, it's not like he talks sense most of the time! He's trying though.]

I didn't think so either. Do you have a vacuum cleaner then? It looks like this. [He draws a normal one, thankfully.]

[As long as you try, Zura. And Date only takes a second for this question, this time.]

Yeah, we have that. [Dante played a prank on him with it too as well. b|]

Date-san, be careful...that sand may look harmless, but it might become dangerous when contained in the vacuum cleaner.

[Pause. Again.]

...why's that?

That sand used to be part of a monster. It might be pretending to be harmless now, but it could reform underneath the cover of darkness and then strike... I spent hours making sure that the grains would never get close enough for that to happen.

[Or rather, guess who's watched too many movies that had something like this as a plot device?]

[These pauses are starting to become a norm with you now, Katsura.]

...I don't think that's going to happen.

[Unfortunately, Zura thinks that's just people being thoughtful!]

Ah, is that true? So I've been doing such detailed cleaning for nothing!?

[And yet another pause!]

...what were you doing, exactly? [And why does he regret asking this question...]
