[Voice]All I have bothered to hear over the last few days on this network is talk of kidnappings. What seems to have gone either undisclosed or unacknowledged is that the 'guest' were not the only victims ( Read more... )

[He stumps over, dropping another two envelopes beside Holmes.] You have more mail, friend.

[Glances up and just watches the mail land on the pile of other un-opened envelopes. The agitated scrawls, unsteady sealing and water stains tell him what each one contains.]

It's the same as the others, Watson.

[There is the slightest twinge of a worried frown before he temples his fingers.]

Enlighten me, John...there is sand at each site. A person, alone and on a daily routine; but no pattern other then that. What is the possibility that this is all a randomized attack.

[Watson takes up the question with much thought, knowing that this is the role he must play as the eternal Boswell.]

It seems to me, Holmes, that the kidnappers are only in want of numbers, and that they would take anyone available to them. Easy prey, perhaps? Uninterrupted operation, often done in the morn or at eve.

Numbers. Numbers for what?

[He watches his friends carefully. Hie brows are knitted and his fingers tap against each other.]

No...there have been one's that were interrupted. Unexpected saviors. A twist in the plan...something is missing. Not the why but the who. The Witches are an obvious choice, and accepted by the school.

The Witches have been known to work in collusion with the kishin eggs before... perhaps to feed the creatures? Or to make them into the creatures themselves. [That's the best his imagination can come up with at the moment.]

But yes, the Witches are likely. They are the only ones who have the magic for this, as far as I've been able to hear.

Make creatures?

[His eyes lit up and he stared straight at Watson.]

Watson, are you aware of how this whole business of weapon transformation came about?

[Action] stalwartcane October 28 2010, 04:37:07 UTC
The kishin eggs, yes. It's only a matter of feeding them human souls, is it not?

[ponders...] No, not at all. Have you investigated it?

Fully.

You should as well, it may peek your interest as a man of medicine.

[He closed his eyes, seemingly down with the conversation before those gray-green eyes opened and he stared straight ahead.]

It was a Witch. A witch that made the first weapon. Combined a human soul, a witch soul and a weapon.

In science, where one thing is created there is the greater chance that it can be improved upon. Meisters, Weapons, and humans have all be gathered to the witches.

[It takes him a short while to connect the dots, and when he does, his expression is stricken with horror.]

Holmes! Do you imply that they are doing experiments on their victims, making new kinds of... of... people?

Re: [Action] only7percent October 29 2010, 04:19:17 UTC
[His tone is icy, but not at his friend. The idea of experimenting on living humans is too much. Dead bodies, Holmes has done those himself...but the living? With children also involved.]

War makes people desperate. Magic or not, the witches want to win. And this idea of Magic Sway may not make them as benevolent as our hosts.

Are they truly evil, then? I had taken the fact for granted, chosen the more benign side over one which I had assumed would want my hide, but... [he takes the stack of letters to himself to sort them.] We must find the victims, friend.

Evil...that may be to harsh a word to use at this point. They still remain such a mystery. Their motives, their wants....passion is what drives one to 'evil' as it is defines now.

[He watches Watson sort through the letters. So many were gone now, taken with such ease. he was missing something.]

Have you noticed anything odd in the city lately, my Watson?

[Action] 'My Watson', huh. X3 stalwartcane October 29 2010, 04:35:17 UTC
Is it not only for want of power? Or perhaps control and destruction. They do not seem to me rational beings.

[He pauses a while to ponder on that.] Nothing that you would not already have noticed. The sand in odd places, the strange weather -- though that might be natural in this climate -- and perhaps the more reclusive habits the residents are forming.

Control and fear...they're very rational.

The weather here has often foretold of a high magical concentration. Before several of the battles I've been privy too, the weather turned for the worse before hand.

[He rubs his chin and leans back in the chair, pulling his legs up underneath him.]

Habits...routine...familiarity.

Villains, then, if their rational drive is the death and pain of others. [Do not want.]

That is true. However, Shibusen has not made a statement regarding the weather, only that it is a normal occurrence here. Surely that should dispel the theory?

Then villains they will be called for now. [Good.]

Perhaps...there isn't enough for or against the argument at present. Other then it being an interesting point to make.
