[The feed begins with a quiet thunk as the communicator is set down upon a thin metal surface. It's night time and the sounds of a thunderstorm rage in the background, and visibility is poor at best. Still, a man in blue and a man in red are visible, even if they appear mildly blurry

That was amazing, you guys!

Thank you. [...then realizes he's smiling and amends that to more of a smirk. Cough. He picks up the communicator and fiddles with it for a moment, flicking over something.]
Did the recording manage a clear view of what that thing was?

[Yuna waits as he messes with something on the communicator.]
It was a little dark and blurry because of all the rain, but I could tell it was pretty big.

Alright. [He was examining the video for himself. As Yuna says, nothing conclusive. He muses for a moment.]
I can understand why people are being abducted, if these things are responsible. They don't seem entirely solid, so normal weapons may not be overly effective.
[He tilts his head slightly.] You should be careful when you're exploring the city. Take someone with you, if you can. [He'd say 'and not at night', but that's when Vergil patrols.]

It looked like it was going to try and get around you somehow. Trap you inside it or something, you know?
[A small smile returns, and she nods again.] Okay, I'll be careful. You be careful too, you got it?

[He then smirks, as much in reassurance as self-assurance. He casually glances to the side where there's a large splatter of mud over the wall.] I think I'll be fine, somehow. But... if you insist, I will do so.

Oh, Mustang accepted my application to the Watch, so I'm sure I'll see you around!

[He blinks, then, with pleasant surprise.] I hadn't realized that you'd applied. Do you know what sector and shift you're assigned to yet? [If there were new applicants, maybe Zone Leadership wasn't so far into the future after all.]

I have Shift 1 in the Shopping District, I believe.

[He nods.] The Watch is a good choice. If nothing else, it attracts people of a similar mind set and training is usually a rather solid work-out. Finding sparring partners is a lot easier, too. No doubt we will run into each other there.
[Vergil considers for a moment, and then:] If you ever need a hand with either, let me know.

I'm glad you think so! It seemed like the best idea, especially with all the kidnappings. I've been kidnapped before, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Though, I managed to get away on my own all but once...
Thank you for the generous offer! I'll be sure to do that.

[He blinks.] You've been kidnapped more than once? [Though quite frankly once was one time too many. At the very back of his mind, the idea makes him bristle.]

Well, yes, but it's not as bad as it sounds. One time was because of a blitzball tournament, and I was used as ransom so that my friends would throw their match. They came to rescue me, but I'd already gotten away by beating up my captors anyway. Then I was kidnapped twice by Rikku and my Uncle, but they just wanted me to stop my pilgrimage to keep my safe. Then, the last time, I was kinda kidnapped in order to force me to marry Seymour, who was already dead and wanted to destroy Spira.
[She pauses, looking a big bashful.] Okay, maybe it is as bad as it sounds. [She tries to laugh it off - the whole thing was a little ridiculous.]

[There's a brief pause, and then:]
...are you certain that you'll be alright? By the sounds of things you have a history of abduction, and the city could be filled with these- [he inclines his head towards the wall-splatter] -for all we know.

Oh, it was usually my fault. And they always came for me, even if I got really good at getting away. [The only time she'd really been rescued was from Rikku's machine, and she'd only been nabbed for a couple of minutes. Not to mention...it was Rikku. She hadn't been in any actual danger.]
Well, all of those abductions were related to my being a summoner, and I'm not a summoner here. So they wouldn't specifically target me, right?
