[Here's another one who has no trouble at all with the communicator -- sure, it's a couple years more advanced than the last phones he was familiar with, but picking up things quickly is one of the perks of being a genius. Ted's dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, and gives a little wave to the comm and grins sheepishly.]

So...Death City. That's ..a bit of an ironic name, considering the last thing I remember, but I don't wanna depress anyone.

So, uh, hi, world. [There's another little wave.] I'm willing to bet no one has any idea who I am, so I'm Ted Kord, and I'm apparently a meister. Guess I'll pick up more as I go along. Nice to, uhm, meet everyone, I suppose.
