If you're going to bring flowers, I'd recommend red carnations because those are symbolic of passion which is very necessary!

Caballerosidad is also important! Make sure you open the doors, offer to take your date's jacket and whisper romantic phrases.

Chivalry. I'm...somewhat familiar with the concept. [As in, he's pretty sure he's heard the word before. But he's not quite willing to admit how ignorant he is in the realm of romance and courtship.]

And romantic phrases...like what?

Familiarize yourself with it while courting. If there is a muddy puddle, take your jacket off to use as a bridge so your date can walk on it. (Or just pick your date up! That's always easier and doesn't ruin your jacket!)

Does your date know Spanish?
