[Video] First leaf falling

Jun 12, 2010 10:25

[The video turns on and the feed displays a pale teenager with equally pale hair. His face is very close to the mirror and it's not hard to notice that his eyes are red and that yes, he's smiling at the camera. It's only an illusion, but it's rather easy to think and imagine that he's actually smiling at you, the viewer ( Read more... )

[Genesis descends the steps down to where Kaworu and Lee were. So, this was the stair theory! A little part of him that still kept the crazies was very amused.

Then again, he is a bit amused, calmly smiling at this all.]

Well, well, well...

Not just one, but two decided to fall.

[It looks like a situation worth helping out in, though. He picks up the black staff that had fallen on the boy and puts it aside. Carefully, he turns the boy over, looking for which injuries to take caution with.]

[He turns his head a little, feeling the pain everywhere. Speaking would be dangerous, he thought idly, searching inwardly and feeling a few broken ribs. Maybe a puncture wound or two. He opens his mouth to speak but blood trickles from his mouth. A hindrance, if nothing else.]

Is he alright?

So badly injured and yet the first thing that comes from your mouth is asking if the other person is alright.

[Genesis looks over at the black staff he had put aside.]

I believe he has turned into a weapon.

I am fine! [The protest is swift, though Lee can't do much more than talk right now.]

I am sorry, I did not notice him soon enough. Is he okay?

[He smiles a little and debated standing before he decided to stay where he was for now. Kaworu's good at lying by omission.]

I'm okay. That's lucky for you. Is this your first time transforming? What are you?

[He can make smalltalk. He'll heal. Eventually. He's had worse before.]

[He feels relief that Kaworu can manage to talk at all. It means that the fall was less serious than it could've been.]

It is, but I am not really certain what. [A pause-] Or how to get back.

He's turned into a black staff. Unfortunately, I can't give much advice on how he can turn back.

But as for you-- [He puts his focus back to Kaworu.] we'll need to get you to a medic.

[This boy was quite the pushover. But there could be only two answers for that-- either that was was used to pain or that he actually could heal quickly]

[He doesn't say anything, trying to cough discreetly. His chest hurt. He needed to get off it.]

Could you ple- [There's one wet cough.] ...

[Silently, Genesis picks him up carefully-- making sure not to move him too much lest he hurt his broken ribs more. He looks over to the staff on the ground.]

I'm taking him to the hospital. Did you want to come with him?

[Brb, has passed out.]

[After shutting off his communicator, it doesn't take Gaara long to find the area. He approaches, stops and stares for a moment at the broken, bleeding form in Genesis' arms. Then his gaze settles on Lee, now a thick, metallic black staff. A reflection of Lee's face peers out at him from the staff's surface. Gaara lowers himself into a crouch and stares at it.]

So. This is your weapon form.

[If he could shrug, he would right now.]

I guess. But that does not really matter right now. [His attention turns to Genesis-] I will come after to check on him after I figure out how to turn back into myself?

[He glances at Genesis, then back down at Lee.]

I'll take him from here.

[He reaches out and pauses, fingertips an inch from the staff. He'd heard about what happens when someone touches a weapon he's not compatible with.]

Alright.

[He watches them for a while, curious to see what would happen.]

[Lee's curious as well, noticing the moment of hesitation, but Genesis didn't seem to have a problem moving him. When Gaara's fingers touch against the staff, though, it feels different. The metal is sleek and slightly warmer than it should be, as if it retains the faint warmth of Lee's body.

It feels like something slipping into place. Not exactly- it's like something that doesn't quite fit seeming like it could slip into place if things shifted slightly. Or maybe it already had, and the shifting needed to happen not so that it could slip in, but to ensure that it didn't slip away. It's warm and familiar and strange all at the same time.

It feels like the first time Gai hugged him. The feeling of surprise and uncertainty is there, along with a slow-spreading warmth that would've made Lee's cheeks tinge pink if he were currently human. Which is... definitely not what he was expecting.]

Oh. [It's a simple word, for all of that, but Lee doesn't really know what else to say.]

[Gaara braces himself against the possible pain as his fingers curl around the staff. When it doesn't come, his eyes widen slightly in surprise. He remains in a crouch, just holding the oddly warm metal in his hand, feeling its weight. Slowly, he stands, still looking down at the staff.]

Well, it doesn't hurt.
