[If you listen closely, you can hear rummaging sounds in the background. Someone's found the refrigerator and is trying to figure out how it works!]So it's cold inside of here! How strange! But what do you do with it? Somehow, sitting inside of it on warm days doesn't seem to make any sense ( Read more... )

Ah, perhaps it's like the cold boxes in the mall?

Oh, cold boxes! Do you think that's what this could be? It doesn't have any ice at all, though...

Yes, I've seen something similar with food inside. I'm not sure how they work, though...

It must be magic! I was right, there's magic here!

That's called a refrigerator, and you're supposed to keep perishable foods in it so they stay good for longer.

They might have a crafts store at the Mall?

So you just put food into it? Like an ice box?

What's a Mall? Someone else mentioned it, as well..

Yeah, except you don't have to replace any ice to keep it cold.

It's a sort of shopping center, pretty much.

Oh, that is certainly handy. I'll have to try it out, when I can find out how to get food. What is the currency here?

So you can buy anything you need?

It generally works just fine on its own. The upper part's for things that need to be kept completely frozen - like anything with ice - while the bottom's for dairy, eggs, and such.

Ah... What does it take to weave, instead of simply embroider?

So you don't have to put ice into it to make it work...that's splendid! When did this invention come about?

Well, embroidery is putting designs on fabric, like making wall hangings. But weaving is making the cloth itself.

A few decades ago, from my time line. You've had an icebox?

Ah. That takes more than you could probably find here?

Yes, we had one at Discipline Cottage, where I lived. And I'm sure Uncle's kitchens had them too. A few decades? Really?

Drat. Well, I'll certainly find the materials to embroider, I think.

Like the others said, it's for food, not people.

And there are some shops that sell things for sewing at the mall!

That certainly makes sense, seeing as the light goes out when you start to shut the door! Is the light magic?

How do I get to this...mall?

I don't think so! But the light is there so you'll be able to see what's inside better. It turns off when you close the door to save energy!

There's a map on the communicator! Press the yellow one that says "GPS".

Well that certainly clears things up! To think that I thought you stuck people in there...

That's what Gee Pea Ess means!

[Sort of a silent approval at your ~cultured hobby~ Sandry]

I'm certain you'll be able to find someone with a similar hobby.

[Why thank you, she tries, she tries.]

Hopefully! Embroidery, and even weaving, is much more fun when you have company. You don't happen to know anyone personally, do you?

Hm. Not off the top of my head, unfortunately. [he looks thoughtful for a moment] Ungarn might enjoy embroidery-- ah, that is, Elizaveta. It has been an awful while since I've seen her do it, though.

I do wish I could offer more information, but I'm not exactly the most social of people.

Well, she probably still remembers, if she really does like to do it. It's something you don't forget, in my opinion.

It's perfectly fine, you've given me plenty to think about. And oh, how rude of me! My name is Sandry.
