- r without weapons. An illusion.

[when the camera flips on, there’s a distinctive crack right down the middle of the lens. nothing is really shown except the ground, but calloused hands occasionally pass over the view. the more observant (they're moving quickly) might notice the fact that the left ring finger is missing ( Read more... )

Ah, I doubt you can kill anyone with this thing. You can certainly try, though that won't be too smart.

[what in the world voices from nowhere?]

[there's the obvious stop of rustling- Altair halting- the drone on of rain taking over the speakers.]

[after a while, voice directed very much not in the direction of the PDA:]

There's little here to be found intelligent.

I beg to differ. If you're the kind of guy who likes to be informed, learning how to use this would be helpful. It's not that hard, too.

Using what?

It's a PDA, not a weapon.

[second voice! this time, he's spinning around. the screen would only show black.]

[somewhat distantly:]

Well yeah. But this wouldn't make a very good one.

[She shakes the PDA, vibrating the picture.]

Even a pencil would be better.

A pencil? [note of curiousity.]

All of our weapons have been taken away. But that thing is pretty much just useful for communicating with other people. There's a map in there somewhere, too.

I've noticed. [and sounding cranky about losing those. hey wait--] A map? Of this city?

Yeah, but.. I don't know how much it'll help, not in these conditions. It's probably best to stay inside.

Do you fear the rain?

It's some sort of communication device, you can't kill anyone with it.

[TOO MANY VOICES.]

Where are you coming from?

[Voice] leavejapanalone February 11 2010, 01:33:54 UTC
From the communicator, where else?

[so lucky that was just explained to him. as it is, his voice is suddenly much more clear, if not much more clearly irritated.]

A silly... box?

[Video] thebestandwurst February 11 2010, 01:56:44 UTC
The box is not a weapon. It would be better if you were to preserve it for communication, map, signal, and other similar purposes. The-- lens will have to be replaced.

A map wouldn't fit into this.

[camera swings wildly, before finally settling where he's actively looking into the... lens (?). all Germany gets to see a sodden hooded figure, no distinct features.]

It is a digital map.

[pauses at the ominous-looking man (and also all that movement is making him dizzy)]

Give me a moment to retrieve the instructions on how to use the PDA. Another guest, Kurapika, wrote it for the new arrivals.

[He copy pastes the entire contents of this link here. Better safe than sorry!]

[just. watching for a while.]

[mouth twists downward and the camera is flipped again.]

Those are horrible instructions. Are they meant to help?
