[Guess who has a fun sand burns on his cheeks, but is still grinning like a cat! There's a slight worries glint in his eyes though, he doesn't know what happened exactly.]

Is everyone alright after yesterday? That storm was pretty big, I just hope there's no one stuck under all that sand still outside...

You are a soldier now. Training and discipline are essential for success. That includes rising at whatever time your superiors deem necessary.

Wouldn't fighting that storm count as training? Enough to get a break for a day?

The enemy will not give you "breaks". Training is not just about building strength and fighting ability. It is about building endurance.

I don't have to worry about that! I got plenty of energy to spare!

I will be the judge of that. You are a soldier. You must follow your superior officer's command.

I'm a trainer! I'm just helping out here because it's what your supposed to do when people are in trouble.

You? You are far to young and undisciplined to have ever trained solders. To train, one must have first understood and experienced life on the battlefield themselves.

This is a war. You are a soldier now.

I never fought a war, but I've been in battles! I'm not young either!

Then you have more to learn. The battles of war are unending and without mercy. You will train, and you will train everyday. You will train even if I judge you to have reached the very height of fighting form, because the you every weakness, your every faltering moment, is a vulnerability that the enemy will exploit. Then, if the gods favour is with us, you may survive.

[Why do you remind him of someone?!]

Hey! Strength isn't everything, you don't just win by being really good at fighting- there's technique and teamwork that's gotta work in there too!

I might not know a lot about fighting wars or being a soldier, but I know that you can't just train until your too tired. It doesn't help anyone!

Yes, and part of that is obeying commands. You have been arguing back about a simple command to attend training. You have already demonstrated that you lack the discipline to follow simple orders.

The enemy will not wait until you are well rested. And if you are truly too weary to train, then and only then will I cease your training. Is that understood?

[He was a bit too impulsive to follow orders, unless it was absolutely necessary. More often then not he would just react and see what happened.]

Geez you sound like Paul

I get it, winnings what's important. I know its a really big deal with this kinda stuff but if we aren't well rested, like you said no one's gonna wait! After something like this I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of people that'll like a bit of time to get over whatever happened yesterday and all the cleaning up that's goin' on today!

This is not a game. This is a matter of life and death. We must win, because losing will bring grave consequences. Or worse, capture. The enemy will give you no time to rest, and so we must train now so that when the time comes, you will have the endurance to keep fighting. This is the life of a warrior. You will need to accept that, or you will die.

[Everyone's so worried about dieing. There are worse things you know.]

I know that! I just don't think getting everyone to tired to work right is a good idea.

You are not the one who will judge who is too tired to work. That is my responsibility. And since you have the energy to argue like a spoiled child, you have the energy to get up and come to training.

I will see you in the morning, or you will be reported to Germany.

[click - off goes Shang's communicator. He has given his orders, and he expects them to be followed.]
