[ The video turns on, and a tiny girl with bright pink hair shows up, peering into the communicator very closely, and then it shakes a bit as she sits the communicator down on something then takes a few steps back and waves with both arms happily at the camera. ]
Hi everyone!!! I'm Yachiru! Everybody keeps askin' me what a shinigami is so I'm gonna just explain here, kay? I drew some pictures to help too!
[ And Yachiru pulls out the first picture and puts it up to the screen. ]
This is me and Ken-chan, ne. We're shinigami! Ken-chan's not here right now but, a shinigami's a death god that helps human souls get to Soul Society after they die! Every human soul's s'posed to go to Soul Society when they die but sometimes they don't do that so we gotta help 'em get there. We call the good souls "plus." I dunno why they're called plus so don't ask me, kay? But anyway, here's another picture, ne!
[ Yachiru changes the picture to show her second drawing. ]
When humans die they turn into plusses but sometimes their souls are sad and they stay around in the Human World and don't wanna go to Soul Society. But if they stay too long, they turn evil and then they become really bad Hollows ne!
[ A tiny finger comes into the screen and first it points at the soul, and then Yachiru peers over the top of the drawing and fixes her finger so she's pointing at the Hollow instead. ]
This is a Hollow! It's really bad. Shinigami have to fight Hollows cuz Hollows eat the good souls! Sometimes they even attack living humans ne! Anyway shinigami are really strong and stuff and that's why we fight the Hollows and help the plusses get to Soul Society. Umm... sometimes human souls that come to Soul Society and stay for a while get really strong and then they become shinigami!
Kay, that's all! Bye-bye!
[ Yachiru waves goodbye to everyone and then turns off the communicator. ]
