[The feed begins with Derek still fiddling with the device, his face betraying a fair amount of worry.]

[He stands straighter now and takes a deep breath before beginning to speak again. An awkward smile crosses his face as he rubs the back of his head.]
I... guess that I should start this with a "hello," so hello to all of you. It's nice to meet everyone!
[The worry on his face becomes more pronounced as he bites his lip.]
I could use some help finding my friends if anyone has seen them or if they're seeing this. Angie? Tyler? Victor? Anyone? Are you all around?
Also, is there any way to at least contact the people back home? I don't have any problem with staying here if I'm needed, but I have responsibilities back home that need to be dealt with and there are people who may well be worried. I just want to talk to them for a couple of minutes, so that everything can be settled properly. That's all.
