( There's a bit of a pause before anyone speaks. when the voice does start, though, it's pretty low. Flat, almost, like the speaker is tired, and her voice sounds pretty rough and husky-- and distinctly Australian. She sounds decidedly detached from what's just happened, considering it's her first entry. )So this place is Death City, huh?

( Just staring at Helga, for a moment; this is hard to absorb, but the fact it's coming from someone who can't be more than a few years younger than her doesn't go unnoticed. That's one of the things that unnerved her about the war - they couldn't be the only kids running feral and doing their own thing. Instead of slinging some comment about it, she bites her tongue, just barely, and listens.

Not that she likes what she hears, at all, but at least she gives Helga a chance to speak before launching into some irritated response. )

What a sec-- what exactly do you mean doesn't exist?

( Because more than not knowing about kangaroos, and more than the other world thing being reiterated, that goes against the grain. Logically, if there are people from other worlds, they wouldn't know about kangaroos, so she swallows the comment about that. The thought of other people not knowing about the war back home just grates. ) How can it not exist? I mean, if this is another world, I'm still from Earth. If there's other people from Earth, they're going to know about it.
