dec. 19th | video | after returning from the mall-mission in Oregon

Sep 30, 2011 03:28

[Unlike usual the feed clicks on right away as video, showing a dark-skinned man with short white hair, long ears and red eyes. What looks like three small red rubies are stuck on his forehead and to top everything off he also has horns. ...Right now Aion is looking like he is fighting a headache.]

Alright. The one time I'm out of the state and not ( Read more... )

[With that message, he immediately headed for Aion's room instead of his with a bag of groceries in his arm and gave a knock.]

[When he enters he is going to find Aion sitting in front of his desk, several notes and a pen strewn on it as he is busy working with his communicator. Unlike usual, his hair is a shaggy mess and his clothes are barely better though he had apparently tried to sort them out as good as possible.

Even though he looks worn and tired he still acts with the same determined vigor and focus as usual, greeting Viede with a look and a gesture to sit down while he finishes this.]

[Viede took the silence as a hint to just how occupied he must be and allowed himself in. Returning a nod to acknowledge his greeting towards him, the larger man quietly took a seat as he patiently waited for his lord to finish.

Just from observing him, he could tell something was amiss. Frankly, he looked like a wreck compared to his usual self. He could only imagine what he was thinking. Half of it was a guessing game when it came to Aion but that didnt really matter. He fully trusted his judgement after all and he was there to make certain he doesn't lose sight of their goal. He would inquiry on that when the chance arises, Viede figured. What was important was to hear him out first.]

[Once he was done, Aion shut the communicator off and slid it away on the table with a sight. Running a hand through his hair, he turned to his younger sibling.]

Viede. [A pause.] How has your day been? Thanks for coming.

[He placed the groceries onto the table and hunched forward towards Aion.]

No different than any other. Progress is slowly being made. You seem worn. [He blatantly pointed out in his deadpan tone.]

I spent the day testing out the local way of fighting in a mall full of crazy humans that kept getting in the way just to return to find a mess here as well. [He sighed, making a motion as if to brush the matter aside.] About sixteen injured ones that are known of, none dead. This so-called "rampage" is a joke. [He didn't bother to explain why he would feel the need to care about something like that. He knew that if Viede was curious he would ask.]

I have something for you to do.

They seemed possessed almost.

[Recalling fighting off humans himself and reached for his pocket. He gently placed the money earned from that mission.]

For your use.

[He nodded to hearing him out of what he wanted.] All right.

Yeah. [He gives the money a short glance, roughly estimating the amount and drawing the conclusion between it and those words. So he hadn't been the only one who had gone 'monster-hunting'.] Thanks. If there is anything you need, let me know and I'll get it for you.

[He paused for a moment, deciding to first pursue one detail, then the other.]

Did your partner also get troublesome once the battle got real?

Hm. [He nodded his gratitude and then watched the man ponder.]

Troublesome? What do you mean? For the majority, I worked alone.

What I say. [He made a gesture as if to chase away an annoying fly.] The one I decided to try had problems delivering the finishing blows of all things. Once our ...'resonance' almost broke, too.

[He didn't bother to hide what he thought of the concept behind word, not if the one he was talking to was Viede. The way Aion saw it, resonance was only another way to limit a person through forcing them into dependency and there was no way he would accept that for any longer than absolutely necessary.]

Who did you use?

I see... [He had to wonder why that were the case. Resonance... Come to think of it, he had yet to see what Aion was. He gave a glance down at his hand that held that weapon from the mission.]

A woman, who turned into a whip. I believe Franziska was her name.

I see. [He scribbled the name next to the weapon for on another note which he added to the pile.]

What's your impression of this new way of fighting?

[He pondered for a good moment.]

Different. [He spoke his word giving another pause before adding more of his thoughts.]

And could prove difficult as well, especially if it is a stranger. I believe luck played a major part in my success, considering the weapon of choice. Cooperation is most vital.

Yeah. We will have to be careful who we use. [He frowned for a moment, eyes turning dark. This new game board had many unnecessary pieces that would require time to be turned into advantages.]

I need you to do some research. Several people here seem to be known in some way or another - take a list of the 'guests' and look if you can find anything to those names, be it in books or somewhere else.

[That dark look meant something was churning inside that mind of his. Viede patiently waited for him to finish gathering his thoughts, fully trusting his judgement.]

All right. I'll get on it right away. Any in particular that concerns you?

Not really. Also look if you can find anything on the local 'staff'. I have a feeling that this will turn into a match of knowledge about each other soon and I want to be prepared. Something like last time must never happen again.

[He was not going to let anyone ever catch him as off guard as the terminal's head had.]
