It seems I have neglected my use of this network over the past few weeks; There's quite a bit to explore in this city, and even more to learn in the institution's library. There is a large, expansive aquifer that we access to for our water and have a system of wells, aqueducts, and our own water treatment. As for the food, we it is imported from other cities and states. Our location this deep in the desert does make local agriculture a little difficult, but as far as I am aware, we are well stocked for both.

Understandable. If your institution would be amenable to it, however, I would like to propose a plan to ensure the city is self-sufficient, should the enemy choose to use that vulnerability to attack us. The city has all natural resources necessary to sustain desert agriculture.

I'd like to attempt to grow crops within the city limits. Perhaps even teach the residents how to grow and tend their own gardens.
